Ilhan Omar Gives President Trump “Advice” On No War With Iran

In light of President Trump’s tweet stating that we are “locked and loaded” after drone strikes in Saudi Arabia that many have speculated by Iran’s doing, Ilhan Omar took it upon herself in an attempt to advise the president against war, blaming Trump personally for escalation in U.S. relations with Iran!

“I don’t even think Iran really fully cares about that and I don’t think a lot of the world cares about that. I think what this president and this administration does is that they say a lot of things and they really don’t understand the consequences it has on the world stage,” said Rep. Omar in reply to Trump’s tweet.

Here’s the clip so you can hear what Omar had to say straight from the horse’s mouth on Twitter:

For some background, here's the tweet by Trump that Omar was referencing:

Fox News has more to say on Omar's response to President Trump's insight following the Saudi Arabia drone strike:

Appearing on CNN Monday evening, Omar mocked the president's tweet when asked if she knew what it meant.

"I don't, a lot of people don't, and I don't even think Iran really fully cares about that and I don't think a lot of the world cares about that," Omar chuckled. "I think what this president and this administration does is that they say a lot of things and they really don't understand the consequences it has on the world stage."

"When you think about what has happened in regards to the relationship with Iran. We've worked really hard to improve relations, to make sure that we were bringing them to the table and one of the first things this administration did was to take us out of the Iran Nuclear Deal. And none of this would have happened if we didn't put further sanctions that devastated the middle class in Iran and now has put our two countries in the brink of war.

When asked about whether a military strike against should be "on the table," Omar responded by reminding the president that only Congress has the "constitutional right to declare war" and urged for further diplomacy before entering another "endless war."

The Daily Caller also commented:

“I don’t think Iran really fully cares about that and I don’t think a lot of the world really cares about that,” Omar told CNN’s Erin Burnett of Trump’s tweet. “What this president and this administration does is they say a lot of things and they don’t really understand the consequences it has on the world stage.”

Omar also ripped Trump for his decision last year to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, which was initially agreed to by President Barack Obama in 2015.

“None of this would have really have happened if we didn’t put further sanctions that devastated the middle class in Iran and now has put our two countries on the brink of war,” Omar claimed.

Omar has been one of Iran’s biggest defenders in Congress, and has blamed U.S. sanctions for Iranian aggression.
