Violence Erupts In Chicago: 6 Dead, 29 Wounded Over the Weekend

This is what Democrats do to places when they take control.

In the name (and only in name) of being champions of humanity, Dems in government implement programs to bring change that are not well-thought through and end up having the reverse affects than intended.

A prime example of this is the gun restrictions in Chicago – one of the worst crime-ridden cities in America.

Just this last weekend, 6 were killed by gunfire and 29 were wounded. And, that’s just common place in Chicago.

Chicago. This is where all handguns are banned and strict laws are in place to restrict citizens from purchasing rifles and shotguns (except "scary guns" like AK-47s, which are banned completely, too.)

Tell me again, Dems, where the evidence is that banning guns does anything to prevent violence and crime.

It certainly seems like the opposite.

In the case of liberal-run Chicago, gun violence just seems to be getting worse.

Here's a thought: maybe, it's because criminals - you know, the ones murdering people on the streets - don't obey laws, including gun laws! Maybe, all gun control does is keep law-abiding patriots from being able to protect themselves.

Hmm...what do you think?

Chicago Sun Times has more details on the violence that went down over the weekend:

On Sunday, a 17-year-old boy was shot to death in Chatham on the South Side.

About 3:33 a.m., Dontevon Gates was among a group of 30 to 40 people who were gathered in the 8200 block of South Maryland Avenue when shots rang out from an unknown direction, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Gates was hit in the neck and back, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center. A man and two women were also wounded in the shooting.

Later that day, two men were wounded, one fatally, in Garfield Park on the West Side.

About 9:25 p.m., the two men, 33 and 41, where standing outside in the 3200 block of West Congress Parkway when a group of men walked towards them and at least one of them opened fire, police said.

The younger man was struck in the chest and rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The older man was struck in the leg and taken to the same hospital in good condition.

On Saturday, a man was killed in a drive-by in Bronzeville on the South Side.

About 6:40 p.m., the 27-year-old was inside a vehicle in the 200 block of East 41st Street when a black SUV following from behind drove up beside him and someone inside opened fire, police said. The SUV then fled westbound.

The man was struck multiple times and rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition but later died, police said.

A couple hours earlier, a man was fatally wounded in another drive-by in Garfield Park on the West Side.

Breitbart also stated:

At least 29 people were shot, six fatally, over the weekend in Democrat-controlled Chicago.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that a 34-year-old man was shot and killed in Humboldt Park on Friday. Hours later, 60-year-old Donald Ruben was shot and killed while walking in an alley on South University.
