What’s the real issue behind abortion?
Sanctity of life?
Protecting unborn children?
Not according to Illhan Omar!
No, according to the Muslim Democrat known more for the many, many times she has put her foot in her mouth more than anything she’s done for our country, the core issue behind the murderous practice (which is becoming rapidly restricted across our nation) is religion.
In a recent statement on the House floor, Omar accused “religious fundamentalists” of trying to “manipulate state laws in order to impose their beliefs on an entire society” to “criminalize women for simply existing.”
Watch the clip here for yourself:
Twitter is not having any of Omar's BS on this one.
Some users cried hypocrisy on the throughbred Muslim rep. from Somalia for criticizing "religious fundamentalism" while being a proud follower of Islam.
Take a look at these response tweets:
Others stood up for their conservative Christian values against Omar on Twitter.

Omar's comments come in the wake of states like Alabama and Georgia passing some of the strictest laws against abortion in the nation.
The Independent had the following to say about Omar's hypocritical critique and its background:
Ilhan Omar has accused “religious fundamentalists” in the US of “trying to manipulate state laws...to impose their beliefs on an entire society” after anti-abortion bills were passed across the country.
This can be as early as six weeks – at which point most women do not yet know they are pregnant.
Women’s rights groups have reacted to the wave of state legislation with dismay, but the US religious and political right has largely supported the move.
“Religious fundamentalists are currently trying to manipulate state laws in order to impose their beliefs on an entire society,” Ms Omar said, speaking on the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday.
“All with complete disregard for voices and the rights of American women.”
Georgia’s bill imposes jail sentences for women found guilty of aborting or attempting to abort their pregnancies, with the potential for life imprisonment and the death penalty.

Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota took to the House floor this week to deliver a tirade about pro-life legislation sweeping the country, accusing pro-lifers of acting on ulterior motives and not truly caring about children’s lives.
Omar was speaking out in response to Alabama’s new near total abortion ban and Georgia’s new heartbeat-based abortion ban, which activists on both sides see as potential threats to Roe v. Wade. Numerous Democrats, including the 2020 presidential primary field, have issued sweeping condemnations of pro-lifers’ efforts and pledged to ensure that whatever happens to Roe, states will still be blocked from passing pro-life laws.
“Religious fundamentalists are currently trying to manipulate state laws in order to impose their beliefs on an entire society, all with complete disregard for voices and the rights of American women,” she said. “The recent efforts like those in Alabama, in Georgia, are only the latest in a long history of efforts to, to punish us when we don’t conform to their attempts to control us.”
