On Monday, Fox News reported: “Press Secretary Sarah Sanders had challenged Congress to call Obama administration officials to testify, including Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey, who she claimed “perpetuated this absurd lie” that President Trump was a “foreign agent” for Russia.”
Reacting to Press Secretary Sanders’ calls on Anderson Cooper:
Has former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper just revealed that President Obama gave the first order that led to the now infamous Mueller investigation?
As the standard print transcripts from CNN’s Anderson Cooper are conveniently not available we painstakingly transcribed Clapper’s full quote for you in context. You decide.
“Those of us that she (Press Secretary Sanders) named: John Brennan and Jim Comey and I were part of the group that were tasked by President Obama to put together all the reporting we had on the Russian interference. And which we did, President Obama directly and personally confronted Putin about the Russian interference in September and did not accept at face value Putin’s protestations. John Brennan directly did the same thing with his counterpart. On October 7th of 16′ we put out a statement, I say we: Jeh Johnson then Secretary of Homeland Security and I put out a statement and were pretty forthright went about warning of Russian interference in our election, this is a month before the election. Which unfortunately got drowned out by the Access Hollywood tape revelation. On December 29th the administration issued a series of sanctions PNG35 Russian operative close to dachas etc. And then of course on January 6th we issued our intelligence community assessment documenting the Russian interference in which we had very high confidence in the evidence that we presented to then President-Elect Trump at Trump Tower.”
Clapper seemed to employ a technique that Vox and Steven Crowder have recently discussed known as “tactical framing” by suggesting Sanders was “confusing collusion with Russian interference”, telling Anderson Cooper that he was “tasked” by then-President Obama to put together the reports on Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Former spy chief James Clapper tells @andersoncooper he has "no regrets" for raising questions about Pres. Trump's behavior or actions, saying he continues to have concern about Trump's "unwillingness or inability… to call out the Russian interference in the election." pic.twitter.com/cHJMwzwlSL

The former Intelligence Director claimed to have been “consistent” shortly following the 2017 inauguration, adding that “we didn’t have enough evidence” at the time and that the Mueller probe would “resolve it once and for all.” Didn’t it though? Didn’t it?
Or has the Mueller investigation opened a Pandora’s box for the Obama administration and this spy-master turned CNN correspondent? One revealing an even more sinister manipulation of the American people: from the inside.
