I am so sick of Cancel-Culture.
So sick of all the (fake) virtue-signaling.
So sick of people telling other people how offended they should be, when in reality no one was really all that offended in the first place.
The latest?
A news anchor was fired when she playfully said “Fo’ shizzle, my nizzle” live on the air after covering a story about Snopp Dogg. Or Snoop. Or Snoop Doggy-Dog. OrCalvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., which is his real name.

According to the Clarion Ledger, there has not been an official announcement of her firing, but all indications point to her being gone:
Long-time WLBT journalist and meteorologist Barbie Bassett is no longer listed as a member of its news team as social media reports suggest she has been removed from her morning anchor position for racially insensitive comments.
Bassett’s bio has been removed from the WLBT Website where all of the on-air bios are located.
WLBT officials did not return phone calls, emails or texts related to Bassett’s status. In a message via social media, WLBT Vice President and General Manager Ted Fortenberry said, “As I am sure you can understand, WLBT is unable to comment on personnel matters.”
On-air employees declined to comment, directing all questions to management. Bassett did not respond to direct messages on Twitter, Facebook and her personal Website.
Bassett was reprimanded in October of 2022 for insensitive comments. On that occasion, she released a statement apologizing for the comment.
Barbie Bassett
“Last Friday on our newscast ‘Today at 11’, I used a term that was offensive to many in our audience and to my coworkers here at WLBT. Though not intentional, I now understand how my comment was both insensitive and hurtful. I have apologized to Carmen Poe,” Bassett said at the time. “Now, I would like to apologize to you. That is not the heart of who I am. And for that, I humbly ask for your forgiveness and I apologize to everyone I have offended. I will learn from this and participate in training so I can better understand our history and our people. I can’t mend the hurt my comment caused. I pray you’ll forgive me and that you’ll extend grace through this awful mistake.”
So apparently “nizzle” is supposed to be some slang term for a slur.
Really?
Sorry, but I call BS.
First of all, it’s a made up word.
Second of all, Snoop has made “izzle” so popular that it’s become a cultural meme.
But some poor news anchor is supposed to know it’s now racist?
GIVE.
ME.
A.
BREAK.
Of course, everything is racist to the far-left.
How stupid.
Now, let’s analyze this a bit more…
You mean to tell me Snoop can release an ALBUM with “nizzle” right on the cover, but if someone says that exact same phrase in a joking, playful way live on the air, now they’re a racist?
PUHHHH-LEASE!
I guess Amazon is racist now for selling this?
Is that the path we’re gonna go down now?
Really?
Oh, I guess this SHIRT is racist too….
Someone better inform Teenavi they’re racists now:
Ah crap, another one!
Got another racist out there!
Beautshirts must be racist now too!
Damn, racists EVERYWHERE:
Of course, all of that is said tongue-in-cheek…
Of course none of those companies are racist, at least not for the reasons of selling those items.
And likewise, this poor news anchor is not racist, at least not for anything she said in that clip.
She seems like a nice lady and I’m sick of far-left cancel culture.
I’ve made my opinion clear, but I want to see what YOU think…
NATIONAL POLL: Is What This News Anchor Said RACIST?
Put her back on the air immediately, she did nothing wrong.
And to Barbie Bassett: take back your apology.
You did nothing wrong.
You do not need to give an apology for QUOTING the man’s own album cover in a playful, non-offensive way.
BRING BACK BARBIE!
