Nikki Haley Greeted With ‘We Love Trump’ Chants at CPAC

On Friday, former South Carolina governor and 2024 presidential candidate Nikki Haley gave a low-energy speech to mostly empty chairs at CPAC.

Here’s some of the footage:

In her speech, Haley said every politician over 75 years of age should take a mental competency test.

Haley also said it’s time to “put your trust in a new generation.”

“We’ve lost the popular vote in the last 7 out of 8 presidential elections,” she said.

Awkward!

CPAC attendees shouted “Trump” when they spotted Haley in the crowd.

Other attendees chanted “We Love Trump” in the background while Haley was doing interviews.

Infowars reported on Haley’s lackluster CPAC speech:

She pledged to “renew an America that’s strong and proud – not weak and woke.”

Haley juggled the terms, “woman,” “minority,” and “immigrant” as part of her pitch to the crowd, finally eliciting some loud applause when she described herself as the “first minority female governor in history,” and exclaimed that, “America is not a racist country!”

“In case you didn’t notice, the liberal media’s heads are exploding about my run for president. We all know why. The media can’t stand that I’m a conservative. Think about it… I’m a woman – a minority – and the daughter of immigrants. I am proof that liberals are wrong about everything they say about America.”

The ex-UN ambassador under Trump announced her 2024 presidential bid on February 14, and is regarded as a major competitor to challenge the 45th POTUS for the Republican nomination. Nikki Haley has already laid out some of her key campaign points. Among them are that US businesses must hire Americans and not illegal immigrants, implement term limits for Congress, require mandatory mental competency tests for US politicians over 75 years old, increase domestic energy production, etc.

However, ever since she tossed the proverbial hat in the ring, Haley has trodden carefully, avoiding any mention of Trump by name. In a recent interview on the podcast “Honestly,” she pledged to support him if he secured the GOP nomination.

In the latest GOP primary polls, Haley sits in 4th place.

The former UN ambassador polled behind Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, and Mike Pence.

From The Hill:

In a hypothetical 2024 Republican primary, Trump currently garners 55 percent of the vote, while DeSantis sits 30 points behind with 25 percent, the Emerson College poll found. Former Vice President Mike Pence sits in third with 8 percent and Haley in fourth with 5 percent.

Biden also has yet to announce his 2024 campaign, despite previous indications that he plans to run to reelection. A Politico story last week suggested that the president was no longer “absolutely certain” about his plans, but Biden allies have largely shrugged off such reports.

The Emerson College poll was conducted from Feb. 24-25 with 1,060 registered voters and had a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points.

President Trump gives his CPAC address Saturday evening.
