We’re all upset over the blatant disregard for the citizens of East Palestine, Ohio following the controlled burn that filled the air and water with vinyl chloride.
The Ohio River has already been contaminated, and as many as 5 million people who depend on the river for their water could be affected.
Joe Biden has completely ignored this disaster, and his transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg won’t accept a lick of responsibility.
In fact, Buttigieg has dismissed the incident because, as he says, “there are roughly 1,000 cases a year of a train derailing.”
He’s also attempted to do the popular liberal habit of blaming President Donald Trump.
This isn’t the first time that liberals in charge have been dismissive of such disasters.
In 2016, then-president Barack Obama openly mocked the citizens of Flint, Michigan over the infamous Flint water crisis.
Obama was giving a speech on stage and then suddenly asked for a glass of water:
“Can I get some water? I want a glass of water,” he proclaimed with forced exuberance.
Obama then said that he really did need water and that this “is not a stunt.”
As the crowd looked on uncomfortably, Obama appeared to drink a small sip.
According to many in attendance though, he simply wet his lips.

Obama loved the stunt so much, he did it twice:
As someone who’s been poisoned by his own government, don’t believe what they tell you in Ohio. Obama told us the water was fine and that was a lie pic.twitter.com/sHwTPoaLYD

Much like Obama, Pete Buttigieg hasn’t taken any responsibility or shown any empathy for those who are victims of this horrible disaster.
He wouldn’t even acknowledge that it happened at first, instead focusing on the diversity of the workforce:

Don’t worry.
Buttigieg says this happens all the time:..
Pete Buttigieg is complaining that people are paying too much attention to East Palestine and says there are 1,000 cases of a train derailing a year
Guess who's job it is to fix that, Pete! pic.twitter.com/2zffin1WCB

Also, this was clearly Donald Trump’s fault according to Buttigieg:

The Dem Playbook:
1. Blame Trump
2. Blame Trump
3. Blame TrumpWhat an embarrassment. https://t.co/IGb8U4OIXy

This is all in the democrat playbook.
If Trump was around before Obama, the latter surely would have blamed him then too.
Fox News has the latest on the complete embarrassment that is the Biden Administration:
Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg faced intense criticism Wednesday after he took the opportunity of the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, to tout his department’s “work on rail safety.”
Buttigieg tried to lay out the steps his agency is taking to address the issue in a Twitter thread Tuesday evening while deferring blame for an ongoing disaster that happened under his watch.
“In the wake of the East Palestine derailment and its impact on hundreds of residents, we’re seeing lots of newfound or renewed (and welcome) interest in our work on rail safety, so I wanted to share more about what we’ve been doing in this area,” Buttigieg tweeted at the beginning of the long thread.
“We are making historic investments on rail safety through funding in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, work that accelerates this year and continue in the years to come,” he continued before listing billions in grants and proposed rules and regulations.

This is an absolutely insane thing to tweet https://t.co/ovMFB4t13Y

Pete B. is the most incompetent member of the administration.
His only skill is impersonating Obama's mannerisms. And parroting talking points with a faux-tone of confidence.

The Transportation Secretary appears to be tweeting his way through the East Palestine disaster ten days late instead of, you know… going there. https://t.co/szSFwTJI5Y

Maybe Buttigieg (or for that matter Joe Biden) should go to northeaster Ohio, make a joke, and then pretend to drink the water…
