There's something extra strange about this story that more individuals are bringing to light.

A 2022 Netflix movie called White Noise has a script that shares strikingly similar details to the Ohio train derailment.

WATCH:

The film is set in a town named College-on-the-Hill, Ohio.

The plot features a devastating event eerily similar to what took place in Ohio earlier this month.

From the White Noise plot on Wikipedia (slight spoiler warning):

However, their lives are disrupted when a cataclysmic train accident casts a cloud of chemical waste over the town. This "Airborne Toxic Event" forces a massive evacuation, which leads to a major traffic jam on the highway.

Wikipedia also noted that the plot is based on a 1985 novel of the same name.

White Noise is a 2022 absurdist comedy-drama film, written and directed by Noah Baumbach, adapted from the 1985 novel with the same title by Don DeLillo.[4] It is Baumbach's first directed feature not to be based on an original story of his own. The film stars Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Don Cheadle, Raffey Cassidy, Sam Nivola, and May Nivola. Set in the 1980s, the story follows the life of an academic and his family whose lives change after an air contamination accident near their home.

White Noise had its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on August 31, 2022, and was released in select cinemas on November 25, 2022, before its streaming release on December 30, by Netflix.

A toxic cloud of waste is exactly what happened in East Palestine, Ohio.

Thousands of gallons of vinyl chloride burned and released into the atmosphere, which could have long-lasting impacts on the area's ecology.

White Noise was also filmed around the same area in Ohio where the real life tragedy occurred.

Filming locations, according to IMDb, include these Ohio towns:

Wellington, Cleveland, Bedford, Berea, Oberlin, Hiram, Canton, Jefferson, Cleveland Heights, Peninsula, Dorset.

East Palestine is within a two-hour drive from these locations.
