I had my doubts about Kevin McCarthy.
Heck, I STILL have doubts about Kevin McCarthy.
But so far, it looks like the Freedom Caucus was able to get incredible concessions out of McCarthy during the fight for the Speaker.
Today, we just found out that McCarthy is considering taking a look at expunging at least one of President Trump’s impeachments.

In other words, they would wipe his slate clean.
This would totally change the history books and totally change public perception.
It’s no secret that there has been a left-wing witch hunt of President Trump.
The House making such a bold move would surely cause a lot of independents and open minded voters to reconsider the facts.
Can you imagine the liberal outrage?!
If McCarthy actually succeeds at expunging an impeachment from President Trump’s record, this would cause heads to explode across the political world!

We all knew that President Trump never stood a fair chance in Washington D.C.
The Establishment in both parties was against him from the very beginning.
So expunging the impeachment that resulted from the fake Russia hoax seems like the right thing to do!
According to the Washington Post:
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Thursday that he’s willing to take a look at expunging an impeachment of former president Donald Trump by the Democratic-led House.
Trump — now a 2024 candidate — was impeached twice during his four-year presidency: in 2019, for withholding military aid from Ukraine in exchange for political favors, and in 2021, for inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
In the previous Congress, groups of Republicans floated resolutions to expunge both impeachments. Supporters of the latter included Rep. Elise Stefanik (N.Y.), the Republican conference chairwoman.
Asked at a news conference about the prospect of an expungement now that Republicans control the House, McCarthy said, “I would understand why members would want to bring that forward.”
McCarthy then ticked off other priorities for House Republicans, including the economy and immigration.
This idea is already gaining traction and support on social media.
More and more people are coming to the defense of President Trump.
If McCarthy and the Republicans actually expunge an impeachment, this will cause a political earthquake!
This should be done immediately. Each impeachment was concocted and fake. No justification. Expunge the Trump impeachments now!!!https://t.co/j3KpO9bTXi

This proves that President Trump still has incredible influence in the Republican party.
If Trump wasn’t such a big force, do you honestly think Kevin McCarthy would be considering this?
I think we all know the answer…
The Hill is also reporting that McCarthy is considering expunging impeachment from Trump’s record:
Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said on Thursday that he would consider expunging one or both of former President Trump’s impeachments.
“I would understand why members would want to bring that forward,” McCarthy said in response to a question at a press conference on Thursday, before listing off several other key priorities for House Republicans.
“But I understand why individuals want to do it, and we’d look at it,” he added.
In the last Congress, a group of more than 30 House Republicans led by Rep. Markwayne Mullin (Okla.) put forward a resolution to expunge Trump’s impeachment in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. The resolution was supported by the fourth-ranking Republican in the House, Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (N.Y.).
A smaller group, again led by Mullin, also introduced a resolution to expunge Trump’s December 2019 impeachment for allegedly attempting to withhold military aid from Ukraine in an effort to pressure the country to investigate the business dealings of President Biden’s son Hunter Biden.
What do you think, folks?
Is this the right thing to do?
Will this help President Trump or backfire?
