Trump Threatens to Run 3rd Party if Republicans Don’t Unite Behind Him!

Never forget:

President Trump is king of the art of the deal.

And despite the media claiming that his 2024 campaign is in “trouble,” President Trump is positioning himself to be the inevitable nominee.

How?

If the Establishment GOP attempts to sabotage Trump unfairly, then he is threatening to run 3rd party.

This would guarantee that that the Republicans would lose!

Now, is Trump being petty?

Despite what some in the mainstream media might claim, the answer is: NO!

President Trump is fighting back the way he needs to against the DC swamp.

And so far, he appears to be winning.

More and more people are taking to social media and calling for Trump to run 3rd party:

Trump made this threat on Truth Social.

Below is a screenshot of a link to an article he posted, which implies that the Republican Party may split…

Here’s exactly what the article says.

Per American Greatness:

Trump was the first president since Ronald Reagan (or some would argue, since earlier than that) who seemed to appreciate the dangers of unaccountable, unlimited, deep-state government. And I’m willing to bet he’d appreciate those dangers a lot more in a second term, having fallen victim to them himself in the 2020 election.

[…]

That leads us to the inevitable question: What should we do when a majority of Republicans want Trump, but the Republican Party says we can’t have him? Do we knuckle under and vote for Ron DeSantis because he would be vastly better than any Democrat?

I say no, we don’t knuckle under. And I like DeSantis. I’d vote for him after Trump’s second term. But not before.

Here’s the thing: It is precisely the expedient view of “well, this person isn’t my first choice, but he’s the best available option who can win” which has allowed the uniparty to take over and ruin the country. We’re letting the Republicans get away with offering us a false dichotomy: A fake non-choice among candidates who are pre-selected for us. The Democrats did this themselves in 2016 when they stole the primary from Bernie Sanders.

[…]

Do I think Trump can win as a third-party candidate? No. Would I vote for him as a third-party candidate? Yes. Because I’m not interested in propping up this corrupt gravy-train any longer. Mitch McConnell says that “providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now, according to most Republicans.” Most Republicans where? Inside his bank account?

The fact that President Trump shared this article to his followers is all you need to know.

This means that President Trump has surely thought about the possibility.

And it was no secret that in 2016, he also threatened the same thing.

Why?

President Trump is sending a warning shot to the Republican Party: No funny business.

Let’s all remember what happened in 2016:

Of course, the Republican primaries have yet to begin in full.

We don’t even know who else is running.

But Trump is setting the stage.

Mediaite picked up on Trump’s threat:

Former President Donald Trump appeared to wink and nod at a third-party run in 2024 by sharing on his Truth Social an article arguing for the GOP to split in half.

Trump shared the article titled “The Coming Split” without comment on Wednesday night, but many pundits and observers were quick to take notice as Trump remains the ostensible leader of the Republican Party.

The article published in the right-wing, pro-Trump website American Greatness argues, “What should we do when a majority of Republicans want Trump, but the Republican Party says we can’t have him?”

The article by Dan Gelernter leans in heavily on the debunked allegations that the 2020 presidential election was stolen and hypes conspiratorial language alleging that a deep state stole the presidency from Trump – who the author seems to believe is universally adored.

“The Republican machine has no intention of letting us choose Trump again: He is not a uniparty team player. They’d rather lose an election to the Democrats, their brothers in crime, than win with Trump,” Gelernter writes.

“That leads us to the inevitable question: What should we do when a majority of Republicans want Trump, but the Republican Party says we can’t have him? Do we knuckle under and vote for Ron DeSantis because he would be vastly better than any Democrat?” the author asks, before concluding:

So what do you think?

Would you support President Trump if he ran 3rd party?

Or do you plan on voting for the Republican nominee no matter who it is?
