Did Ted Cruz’s Daughter Attempt To Commit Suicide?

Police were called to Sen. Ted Cruz’s home after police received a call about a teenage girl with self-inflicted cuts.

Cruz has two daughters one of them who is suspected to be the one to cut herself, reportedly announced she was bi-sexual earlier this year.

Many media outlets have suspected that the self-inflicted wounds were from an attempted suicide attempt by Cruz’s 14-year-old daughter.

Cruz has announced he wishes to have privacy at this time and gave no further details regarding the incident.

The New York Post dropped these details:

Police and emergency personnel responded to the Houston home of Sen. Ted Cruz Tuesday night after receiving a call of a teenage girl injured with “self-inflicted” cuts, according to local reports.

A 14-year-old girl reportedly suffered self-inflicted stab wounds on the arms at the Republican’s residence in the River Oaks neighborhood, Houston police told ABC13 and KHOU 11.

Officers got the call just before 8 p.m. local time.

Yahoo News shared these details:

Police and medical personnel were called to the Texas home of Sen. Ted Cruz Tuesday night after reports of a 14-year-old girl at the property suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds to her arms.

The teen was taken to the hospital shortly after. It’s unclear who the girl was—though Cruz does have two daughters: Catherine, 11, and Caroline, 14.

In a response to The Daily Beast, a representative for his office said: “This is a family matter, and thankfully their daughter is OK.”

There “were no serious injuries,” the representative said.

“The family requests that the media respect their daughter’s privacy at this time.”
