Oh how the mighty have fallen.
Remember that smug lawyer by the name of Michael Avenatti?
You know, that guy that the liberal media used to fawn over in hopes that he’d bury President Donald Trump?
Yeah, that never happened.
In fact, Avenatti was sentenced to two and a half years in prison last year for trying to extort Nike.
Following that, he was sentenced to an additional four years for stealing book proceeds from Stormy Daniels, his former client.
Apparently, things just got worse for him.
Avenatti was just sentenced to an additional 14 years in prison for tax evasion and for stealing MILLIONS of dollars from his clients.
It takes a while sometimes, but justice prevails from time to time.

The LA Times has all the details:
Michael Avenatti, the once-swaggering celebrity lawyer who was undone by his proclivity for embezzlement and fraud, was sentenced Monday to 14 years in prison for dodging taxes and stealing millions of dollars from clients.
His sentencing by U.S. District Judge James V. Selna in Santa Ana concludes the last of three federal prosecutions of the former attorney, who gained notoriety for representing adult film star Stormy Daniels in her legal battles against former President Trump.
Selna said Avenatti had accomplished “good things in his life,” but had “also done great evil.” He ordered Avenatti to pay nearly $8 million in restitution to his victims and $3.2 million to the government.
Avenatti, 51, is already serving five years in prison for his extortion and fraud convictions at two trials in New York. Selna ordered him to serve the 14 years he received in the latest case after the five-year sentence is complete. Federal prosecutors in California had asked Selna to order Avenatti locked up for an additional 17 years and six months.
Suspended lawyer Michael John Avenatti has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for defrauding his clients and for obstructing IRS efforts to collect payroll taxes from his coffee business.

Judge Selna sentences Avenatti to prison "for a term of 168 months."
That's for the four wire fraud counts, and it includes 36 months for the IRS obstruction charge. This is pretty close to what @USAO_LosAngeles prosecutors wanted.

The Daily Caller has more on the disgraced former lawyer:
“In imposing the 14-year sentence, U.S. District Judge James V. Selna ordered that Avenatti’s term of imprisonment run consecutive to sentences totaling five years previously imposed in two federal cases in the Southern District of New York,” the office said.
Avenatti received a four-year prison sentence in June for wire fraud and identity theft for stealing $300,000 of revenue from his former client Stormy Daniels’ book “Full Disclosure,” having already been sentenced to 30 months in prison in June 2021 for trying to extort Nike.
