CANADA: Horrifying Commercial Glamorizes Assisted Suicide (VIDEO)

This is perhaps the most disturbing commercial I’ve ever witnessed in my life.

Recall my previous reports on Canada’s “Medical Assistance in Dying” (MAID) program.

In 2021, 10,000+ Canadians received “medically assisted death.”

"Medical assistance in dying" reportedly could be available for minors without parental consent in March 2023.

Canada Euthanasia Law Reportedly to Soon Include Minors Without Parental Consent

A recent video clip shared by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) indicates the eligibility for medically assisted suicide could include babies with disabilities.

“Kids born with disabilities are now being considered for assisted suicide up to a year after their birth,” tweeted Dr. Leslyn Lewis.

“Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) was never meant for those who can’t give consent. Why aren’t the Liberals, Bloc and NDP condemning this unethical agenda?” she asked.

The Counter Signal reported:

The clip highlights a Parliamentary Committee for the Canada Disability Benefit Act, or Bill C-22, that was held two weeks ago.

One of the issues discussed was whether the recommendation to expand medical assistance in dying (MAiD) is appropriate for infants up to age one born with severe and grave syndromes.

Also at stake in this bill is whether assisted suicide can be further expanded to include other vulnerable groups, including teens aged 14-17 who would be considered “mature minors” and those with intellectual disabilities.

To this point, Inclusion Canada was “alarmed” by a Quebec doctor’s recommendation that Canada adopts such a measure, the National Post reports.

“Canada cannot begin killing babies when doctors predict there is no hope for them. Predictions are far too often based on discriminatory assumptions about life with a disability,” said Krista Carr, Inclusion Canada’s vice president.

“An infant cannot consent to their own death. This isn’t MAiD, it’s murder,” she added.

With the proposed expansion for assisted suicide to include persons with mental disabilities, Carr also notes that “providing MAID to a person who cannot consent is a standard that is wildly dangerous for all persons with intellectual disabilities in Canada.”

According to a Forbes report, Canada leads the world in assisted suicides, with 10,064 in 2021. Eighty-one percent of the requests were honoured in Canada.

In addition to expanding assisted suicide to infants, the practice is being promoted in commercials.

"Canadian retailer Simons produced and published a disturbing video glamorizing assisted suicide," The Maine Wire wrote.

"The ad features a woman named Jennyfer Hatch who killed herself in October."

CBC noted:

Quebec-based retailer Simons made a deliberate move toward "inspiration" last month as part of a new video called All is Beauty.

The video is centred around and narrated by B.C.'s Jennyfer Hatch.

The 37-year-old died on Oct. 23 and chose medical assistance in dying (MAID) after dealing with complications and chronic pain associated with her diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos syndrome, a group of inherited disorders that affect the connective tissue supporting many body parts.

In the video, available on Simons's shopping website, viewers get a glimpse into some moments of Hatch's last month and hear her share her thoughts on life, death and her quest to fill her final days "with beauty, with nature and with connection."

Cont. from The Maine Wire:

Next year, Canada will allow individuals suffering only from mental illness, like depression, to undergo medically assisted suicide.
