Elon Musk Finds Stash of ‘Stay Woke’ Shirts Inside Twitter HQ

Twitter CEO Elon Musk tweeted a hilarious discovery at the company’s headquarters.

A newly released video from Musk shows him finding a closet full of T-shirts with the phrase #staywoke.

The closet had hundreds of T-shirts in what appeared like a failed marketing campaign.

“Do you want to explain what #StayWoke is?” journalist Peter Kafka asked Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey as he walked on stage for an interview with DeRay McKesson during ReCode’s Code conference this week.

Ah, yes, Jack, please do! Tell us the meaning behind the strange combination of words and symbols on your plain gray t-shirt that read “#StayWoke [Twitter logo].”

“Maybe later,” Dorsey responded ominously.

And so, through the majority of this lengthy conversation—which touched on Black Lives Matter, the political neutrality of Twitter, and more—the meaning behind this 39-year-old white male’s T-shirt was unknown.

The T-shirts were previously sold through an affiliate website that no longer works.

Musk recently confirmed Twitter’s bias against conservatives.

“We don’t hear much about Democrats and leftists being let back on Twitter. Why? Because they were never kicked off in the first place. Their lies and misinformation simply escaped all scrutiny. Censorship has been deployed as a one-way operation against conservatives,” tweeted Dinesh D’Souza.
