In response to the growing and unmitigated crisis at the border, Governor Abbott has taken unprecedented measures.
As of Tuesday, November 15th Abbott has invoked the Invasion Clauses of both U.S. and Texas to fight back against the growing migrant issue on the border.
Despite the growing problem and clear dissatisfaction, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, continues to deny that there is any issue at all.
The provisions include but are not limited to:

I invoked the Invasion Clauses of the U.S. & Texas Constitutions to fully authorize Texas to take unprecedented measures to defend our state against an invasion.
I'm using that constitutional authority, & other authorization & Executive Orders to keep our state & country safe: pic.twitter.com/2Jt5HEMgp5

Other conservative pundits urged their own state governments to take similar action to repel the unmitigated number of migrants pouring into their states.
Anthony Sabatini points out the magnitude of the problem in Florida:
Now EVERY Republican state must do the same
This a national team effort—not just Texas’ problem
Florida has over 800,000+ illegals in our state
FL must also Declare an Invasion under the US & State Constitution ASAP & financially assist with the Wall & national guard assets https://t.co/9qNPkJ2O87

Daily Caller writes:
Abbott has long argued that the Biden administration hasn’t done its part to address the illegal migration influx, and in response he mobilized state resources in March 2021 as part of his “Operation Lone Star” to secure the border.
Several Texas counties for months sought to pressure Abbott, who recently won reelection for the governorship, to make the declaration of invasion.
I appreciate @GovAbbott, but his "invasion" comments today are just that, comments. Unless Tx puts invaders back into Mexico,
NOT "take them to the border," & NOT "hand them over to CBP", their efforts will drive down Tx border crossing numbers as much as Op Lone Star, ie, NONE https://t.co/3lRsFPXRyb— Ken Cuccinelli (@KenCuccinelli) November 15, 2022
Rep. Dan Bishop: "Sec. Mayorkas, do you continue to maintain that the southern border is secured?
Mayorkas: "Yes, and we are working day in and day out to enhance its security."
