Construction of the brand new Obama Presidential Center has been halted.
Why?
A rope that has been described as a “noose” has been found on site.
An investigation is ongoing as to what happened, and the construction company is offering a $100,000 reward for more information as to how this rope got onto the site.
Initial reports suggest that this may not be a noose after all.
Many observers note that this case appears to be similar to NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace who claimed that a noose was placed in his garage as intimidation.
There was only one problem though.
All of the garage doors had a rope like that.
The rope had a loop so people could grab it to close and open the garage door.
And the ropes had been there for years. To be clear: they had not been placed there to intimidate Wallace.
Could this be another misunderstanding?
Are liberals freaking out over nothing?
We report below, and you can decide for yourself:
After all, who can possibly be the slightest bit skeptical of a noose-sighting in Chicago? When has there ever been Fake Noose in the Windy City?
"This is MAGA Country!"
Eventually, before the sun novas, a white will place a real noose as a hate crime.https://t.co/bU8wPLcLtL

This incident happened in Chicago.
As we all know, Chicago is a very Democrat, very blue city.
Is it possible that someone placed a noose at the construction site and was able to do so without being caught? Theoretically, sure.
But is it realistic?
Well, it’s as realistic as someone yelling “THIS IS MAGA COUNTRY” to Jussie Smollett, and we all know how that turned out.
The New York Post has more details:
Construction at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago has been temporarily halted after a noose was discovered at the worksite Thursday morning.
Lakeside Alliance, the construction company building the $830 million center, said it immediately notified police after the noose was reported on the premises, located in Jackson Park.
The company told The Post in a statement that it suspended “all operations onsite” in order to provide its employees with an additional series of anti bias training, citing a “zero tolerance” policy “for any form of bias or hate on our worksite.”
The company additionally said it was offering a $100,000 reward to find the culprit.
“We are horrified that this would occur on our site and are offering a $100,000 reward to help find the individual or individuals responsible for this shameful act. Lakeside Alliance remains committed to providing a work environment where everyone can feel safe, be their best self, and is treated with dignity and respect,” the statement said.
The Obama foundation denounced the incident as “a shameless act of cowardice and hate is designed to get attention and divide us.
“Our priority is protecting the health and safety of our workforce,” the Foundation said in a statement to The Post. “We have notified authorities who are investigating the incident.”
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker also condemned the act.
“Hate has no place in Illinois,” he said in a social media post. “The noose is more than a symbol of racism, it is a heart-stopping reminder of the violence and terror inflicted on Black Americans for centuries.”
Let us be clear: WE DENOUNCE RACISM.
However, there is clear reason to be skeptical.
There have been many race-based hoaxes designed to harm Republicans.
Is this yet another one?

Again, we want to emphasize that this happened in Chicago.
Is it possible that this story is legitimate?
Yes… and if it is, we again denounce any racism.
Of course. That is a given.
But there has been a string over hoaxes over the years, including the Smollet hoax in Chicago.
According to the Western Journal:
The rope discovery at the Obama Presidential Center echoes a similar incident involving NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace, who claimed a noose was found in his garage before authorities ultimately determined that the “noose” was a garage door pull rope that had been in place for a year.
It also would be remiss not to mention that Chicago, where this latest alleged hate crime took place, is the same city where actor Jussie Smollett perpetuated a hate crime hoax.
Adding to any potential speculation, the Tribune interviewed some longtime local citizens who claim these types of acts never happen in their area. Sisters Rosemary Jackson and Patricia Catlett have lived in the neighborhood for over 40 years and said they were “shocked” because they’ve never had these kinds of problems before.
Assuming this incident doesn’t set Lakeside Alliance back too far, the Obama Presidential Center is expected to open in 2026.
So what do you think?
Is the media rushing to judgement on this case?
Or are they simply reporting the facts?
