Congressional Candidate Releases Sex Tape to Promote ‘Sex Positive’ Agenda

This is how far American political campaigns have fallen.

We have a congressional candidate purposing releasing a sex tape to get elected on a ‘sex positive approach.’

Mike Itkis, a Manhattan third-party hopeful, has released an online porn video starring himself in a bid to highlight his “sex positive” political platform.

No, this is not a joke.

According to Ballotpedia, Mike Itkis’ biography reads:

Mikhail Itkis was born in Odessa, Ukraine. He began serving in the U.S. Army Reserve in 2009. Itkis earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in 1991, a graduate degree from Baruch College in 2008, and another graduate degree from Western Governors University in 2017. His career experience includes working as a military officer.

Itkis is running in New York’s 12th congressional district, which is predicted to be an easy win for Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler.

You’d think aspiring politicians would want to hide sex tapes of themselves.

However, we’re living in clown world.

These aren’t normal times.

Itkis said he put it out to prove he’s truly excited about legalizing sex work.

“If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue,” he told City & State.

“And the fact I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform.”

From City & State:

The 53-year-old Army cyber operations officer is bound to lose to Rep. Jerry Nadler in Manhattan’s 12th Congressional District. But he posted the 13 minute video to a popular online porn site of him having sex with porn performer Nicole Sage as “a conversation piece,” he told City & State. “If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue. And the fact I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform.” His issues include legalizing sex work, and making sexual rights explicit – “do NOT rely on privacy or free speech rights,” his campaign site reads, where sex positivity is one of just three campaign issues, which are all thin on details. Itkis, whose bio identifies himself as “Not married. No kids. Not celibate. Atheist.” also seems to take aim at child support payments, writing that “men should not be required to support biological children without prior agreement.”

Itkis said the video “Bucket List Bonanza” in 2021 was his first time having sex on camera, and insisted he’s not an exhibitionist. “I’m very much an introvert,” the “very liberal” registered Democrat said. “I’m kind of a nerd who doesn’t like to be the center of attention if I can avoid it. But I thought the issues I’m trying to address are so important… I wanted to have my issues talked about in some way.”

The New York Post added:

Itkis’ campaign page states his background as “Not married. No kids. Not celibate. Atheist” and says he is dedicated to making sexual rights explicit by “ending adultery laws” and “decriminalizing and legalizing sex work.”

He also appears to target child support payments, writing that “men should not be required to support biological children without prior agreement.”

The Nadler campaign declined to comment to City & State on the sizzling sex tape. But Itkis’ Republican opponent said he understood the urge to seek attention amid a hot political race.

“You gotta do what you gotta do,” Mike Zumbluskas said.
