The World Economic Forum must be smiling right now…
Transnational elites, the carbon cult, and those in favor of a radical depopulation agenda are the only ones who seem to have benefited from the sabotage of Nordstream 2.
As geopolitical tensions reach a new boiling point, the very whole of Western Europe faces rapid deindustrialization and a cold winter due to the impending energy crisis.
The European Union’s leaders—particularly former German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, made the absolutely asinine mistake of entrusting their critical energy needs to their number 1 adversary—Russia.
It is difficult to imagine that this was done in ignorance rather than by design.
For her part, Merkel is alleged to have had KGB ties, and Germany’s Cybersecurity Chief, Arne Schoenbohm, is being fired over allegations that he met with Russian intelligence personnel.
I cannot say it any more bluntly: the European leadership is committing suicide—these things cannot possibly be mistakes.
The continent is already feeling the effects of their disastrous policies as public transportation lines come to a screeching halt and heating costs skyrocket.
Here are just some alarming trends:

Good Morning from Germany, which after 1.5 good decades now looks like the sick man of Europe again. And while it used to be the case that Germany would emerge stronger from crisis, it doesn't look that way this time. High energy costs could lead to permanent deindustrialization. pic.twitter.com/TgIyIzgorO

EU Carbon Price keeps falling despite higher coal generation boosting demand for emission allowances. But fear of political intervention and the deindustrialization of Europe due to high gas prices are putting pressure on the carbon price. pic.twitter.com/vnBvnllG4w

According to Forbes:
With natural gas prices over $100 more per megawatt hour than they were a year ago, the Western European economies are heading to the Middle Ages.
Forests are being cut for firewood as Russia retaliates with its own Ukraine war sanctions by shutting off the trickle of natural gas it was still piping into Europe.
The deindustrialization of Europe is happening with astonishing speed. Europe's smelters are closing & when they close, they're unlikely to reopen. EU faces permanent loss of strategic metals production.

RT, a Russian outlet, relayed the words of Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo:
In an interview with the Financial Times published on Thursday, he said that unless there was an intervention in the gas markets, “we are risking massive deindustrialization of the European continent and the long-term consequences that might actually be very deep.”
