Bob Marley’s Granddaughter Stands Up To Woke Mob

Internationally known reggae artist Bob Marley was always known to speak his truth and now his granddaughter is following in his footsteps.

Bob Marley’s granddaughter Selah was attacked viciously by the woke mob after she attended Kanye West’s fashion show wearing a White Lives Matter shirt.

In response to the backlash of wearing the White Lives Matter shirt, Selah released a statement saying that the left has a hive mentality and does whatever the group tells them to do.

Selah would go on to say “you can not bully me, manipulate me, or coax me into silence”.

The Daily Mail added these details:

Bob Marley’s granddaughter has blasted people criticizing her for wearing Kanye West’s ‘White Lives Matter’ top – telling them ‘you can’t coax me into silence.’

Selah Marley, 23, modeled the slogan t-shirt at Kanye’s Paris Fashion Week runway show on Monday, but the move has been branded a ‘stunt’ by some.

She texted the rapper, 45, after receiving a slew of abuse online for her actions, saying she wants to ‘continue the conversation with depth and clarity.’

The model also took to Instagram and slammed people criticizing her as being ‘stuck in a hive mind mentality.’

She rebutted her critics, writing: ‘You can not bully me, manipulate me, or coax me into silence. Nor will you bully me into being who you want me to be.’

And she said people who are sending her hate about the White Lives Matter shirt ‘do what the group tells you to do and think what the group tells you to think.’

In a later post, she said: ‘I’m ready for us to have the conversation. Tell Kanye West to text me when he wakes up so we can continue to move this conversation forward and provide the necessary clarity, depth and health that we are collectively in need of.’

The Daily Beast had these details to add:

Selah Marley has faced a wave of online backlash for modeling a “White Lives Matter” shirt by rapper-turned-fashion designer Kanye West at his Paris fashion show, with some arguing that the stunt was reinforcing white supremacy. The granddaughter of the reggae pioneer and daughter of Lauryn Hill took to Instagram on Wednesday to vent and reject the “hive mind mentality” of her critics, writing, “You cannot bully or manipulate me, or coax me into silence.”

The 23-year-old model, who also worked with Ye during 2017’s New York Fashion Week, shared her private texts to the artist after the fact. “I love taking risks and embracing freedom, but in this case, I think we can continue to discuss the depth behind our decisions to show the purity of our intentions and provide healing to our community,” she wrote to the Donda singer, who took to the platform to share his own message over the controversy. “And for all audience so outraged about my t shirt where was you when I couldn’t see my kids,” he wrote.
