Biden Regime Stockpiles Drug for Radiation Sickness In Case of Nuclear Emergency

Does the Biden Administration know something that they’re not sharing with the American public?

The U.S. announced its plan on Wednesday to spend $290 million on Amgen drug Nplate for “radiological and nuclear emergencies.”

Could this be an indicator of a looming nuclear threat?

“As part of long-standing, ongoing efforts to be better prepared to save lives following radiological and nuclear emergencies, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is purchasing a supply of the drug Nplate from Amgen USA Inc; Nplate is approved to treat blood cell injuries that accompany acute radiation syndrome in adult and pediatric patients (ARS),” according to the news release.

“ARS, also known as radiation sickness, occurs when a person’s entire body is exposed to a high dose of penetrating radiation, reaching internal organs in a matter of seconds,” HHS said in the release.

“Symptoms of ARS injuries include impaired blood clotting as a result of low platelet counts, which can lead to uncontrolled and life-threatening bleeding.”

The CDC lists additional information for ARS.

“Amgen, based in Thousands Oaks, California, developed Nplate for ARS with support from BARDA, part of HHS’s Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), and the NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases,” The Gateway Pundit noted.

The 2004 Project Bioshield Act gives BARDA the authority to purchase this medication supply, and the $290 million in funding comes from the Project BioShield fund.

Nplate is a treatment for low platelet counts in adults and children with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) when other treatments or medicines have not worked well enough.

“To reduce radiation-induced bleeding, Nplate stimulates the body’s production of platelets. The drug can be used to treat adults and children,” HHS said.

Nplate.com lists this important safety information:

What is the most important information I should know about Nplate?

Nplate® can cause serious side effects, including:

  • Worsening of a precancerous blood condition to a blood cancer (leukemia): Nplate® is not for use in people with a precancerous condition called myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), or for any condition other than immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). If you have MDS and receive Nplate®, your MDS condition may worsen and become an acute leukemia. If MDS worsens to become acute leukemia you may die sooner from the acute leukemia.
  • Higher risk for blood clots:
  • You may have a higher risk of getting a blood clot if your platelet count becomes high during treatment with Nplate®. You may have severe complications or die from some forms of blood clots, such as clots that spread to the lungs or that cause heart attacks or strokes.
  • If you have a chronic liver disease, you may get blood clots in the veins of your liver. This may affect your liver function.

The HHS did not elaborate on its reasoning behind the stockpiling of Nplate, although it coincides with rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

Cont. from The Gateway Pundit:

Recall, Retired Virginia State Senator and former Marine Helicopter Pilot, career JAG Officer and Chief of the Army Criminal Law Division, Col. Richard Black, (USA Ret.) told the Gateway Pundit that the “globalists are marching us relentlessly toward this nuclear Armageddon.”

Retired Col. Richard Black drafted an open letter to members of US Congress on the horrors of nuclear Armageddon being pushed by the globalists in response to Russian actions in Ukraine.

“I am troubled by the loose talk about launching a nuclear attack on Russia. From time to time, senior Republicans and Democrats have suggested employing such weapons. This appears to be a deliberate effort to acclimate Americans to the idea of nuclear war,” Black wrote on the letter.

“Now, we have Zelensky’s office jumping on too. On September 21, 2022, Newsweek ran this headline: U.S. Needs to Threaten Russia With Nuclear Strike: Ukraine. The article quotes Mykhailo Podolyak, Zelensky’s senior aide, as saying, “The other nuclear states need to say very firmly that as soon as Russia even thinks of carrying out nuclear strikes on foreign territory – in this case, the territory of Ukraine – there will be swift retaliatory nuclear strikes to destroy the nuclear launch sites in Russia.

“Of course, it is impossible to limit retaliatory nuclear strikes to destroying only the nuclear launch sites. Not only would the damage be widespread, but Russia would be forced to respond in kind to threats targeting its nuclear deterrence capability. Russia would launch an immediate, massive nuclear response, including air and ground-based hypersonic missiles and submarine-launched ballistic missiles.

“As the Ukrainian War drags on, globalists are marching us relentlessly toward this nuclear Armageddon. Why?”
