A court in India has received a plea filed by a man who is seeking over Rs 1,000 crore (over $10 million USD) from the Serum Institute of India and Bill Gates after his daughter died after she received the Covid-19 vaccine.
Dilip Lunawat has filed a lawsuit against Bill Gates for funding the Serum Institute of India’s Covishield vaccine.
Lunwat claims his daughter died from adverse effects of the Covid-19 Covishield vaccine.
His daughter Snehal was a medical student in India and died very soon after she received her second dose of Covidhield.

Here’s what Indian Express had to report:
The Bombay High Court recently issued notice in connection to a plea filed by a man seeking compensation of Rs 1,000 crore from the Maharashtra government, the Union government, the Serum Institute of India (SII) and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, for the death of his daughter, who he claimed died due to the side effects she suffered after she was administered vaccines against Covid-19.
Justice Sanjay V Gangapurwala and Justice Madhav J Jamdar, on August 26, sought response from the authorities during the next hearing on November 17.
Petitioner Dilip Lunawat has made Gates a party to the case, as the Bill Gates Foundation had funded SII’s efforts in manufacturing the Covishield vaccine.
Lunawat has claimed that his daughter Snehal, a medical student in Nashik, was given both doses of Covishield under the state’s initiative to vaccinate healthcare workers. He added that due to side effects of the vaccines, Snehal passed away on March 1, last year.

Another parent in India is also filing a suit against Gates.
The Children Health Defense had more details to share about the second suit:
In what may be the first legal case of its kind globally, a petitioner in India is seeking to prosecute Bill Gates, Indian vaccine czar Adar Poonawalla, and Indian government and public health officials over the death of a 23-year-old man who died after receiving AstraZeneca’s Covishield vaccine.
Kiran Yadav late last year filed a criminal writ petition for murder, Smt. Kiran Yadav v. The State of Maharashtra & Ors. (herein referred to as Yadav v. Maharashtra), with the Bombay High Court of Judicature, on behalf of her deceased son, Shri Hitesh Kadve.
Her son was vaccinated on Sept. 29, 2021. According to the complaint, he died that same day due to side effects brought on by the vaccine.
The complaint alleges Kadve died “due to [an] act of willful commission and omission attributable to some public servants who are misusing their position to bring policies to help the pharma mafia and thereby [are] responsible [for] mass murders.”
