Governor Ron DeSantis this week suspended Soros-backed Florida prosecutor Andrew Warren.

Gov. DeSantis Sends State Police to Physically Remove Suspended ‘Soros-Backed’ State Attorney

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suspended State Attorney Andrew Warren for ‘picking and choosing which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda.'

Warren, who had served the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, refused to follow state policy criminalizing abortion after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

According to DeSantis, he repeatedly refused to enforce laws cracking down on child sex-change surgeries.

“Warren said that it doesn’t matter what the legislature does in the state of Florida. He is going to exercise a veto over that. He’s also instituted policies of ‘presumptive non-enforcement’…that is not consistent with the role of a prosecutor. You can exercise discretion in individual case, but that discretion has to be individualized and case specific,” DeSantis said as he announced Warren’s suspension.

In response, Andrew Warren ran to the leftist media to complain about his suspension.

He said DeSantis’ decision to suspend him was "blatantly unconstitutional."

“[DeSantis] does not have the authority to suspend me … the people elected me to serve in this position and I am going to continue doing it,” Warren said on CBS News on Friday.

Warren also said DeSantis' abortion ban is unconstitutional.

“The governor’s abortion ban is unconstitutional. So, I am the one upholding the law,” Warren said.

"He literally can’t. There is a new acting State Attorney in his former office. This is delusional," Ron DeSantis’ spokeswoman Christina Pushaw tweeted in response to Warren's statements.
