The U.S. Capitol was closed at the time they entered the building.

"The group of nine people associated with CBS’ “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” were arrested last month for ignoring instructions stay with a staff escort while inside the building, police said in a press statement," CNBC reported.

“Members of the group had been told several times before they entered the Congressional buildings that they had to remain with a staff escort inside the buildings and they failed to do so,” the statement said.

Earlier Monday, it was revealed Stephen Colbert’s crew was cleared of “unlawful entry” charges after they were caught inside a House Office Building after hours without permission.

“We do not believe it is probable that the Office would be able to obtain and sustain convictions on these charges," the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia stated.

When you think the blatant corruption can't be any more obvious, it somehow gets worse.

Matthew Graves, the Biden-appointed US Attorney who dropped the charges on Colbert’s staffers, is also the prosecutor investigating January 6!

Graves also works for US Attorney General Merrick Garland.

If you're a pro-regime propagandist, you get away scot free for 'trespassing' on the U.S. Capitol.

But Trump supporters must rot in prison for the exact same.

“It turns out [Graves] is also the prosecutor investigating January 6th,” Fox News host Jesse Watters said.

“Is he giving those guys the same treatment?”
