Amazon Employees Write Open Letter to Leadership Demanding Company Cease Operations in Pro-Life States

After the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, hundreds of woke Amazon employees have organized a protest – and they want their employer to immediately take action.

In an open letter to Amazon leadership, the employees demanded they cease doing business in states where abortion is illegal and requested time off to grieve the Supreme Court ruling.

The Blaze reported:

Though some of the demands are predictable — denounce the decision publicly, organize company-sponsored protests, fund organizations “working to expand abortion access” — others seem less concerned with the cause itself and more interested in diminishing executive power in favor of organized labor.

For example, the letter asks the company to grant all employees “the space and time to grieve, express their frustrations, and protest against this assault on our rights,” ostensibly on the company’s dime.

It also asks Amazon to “[e]xpand remote work options to allow employees the option to relocate to states” which will permit continued abortion access and to “[c]ease operations in states that enact” abortion restrictions. Since Amazon has already opened dozens of major warehouses in red states and since its business model relies on the convenience of fast home delivery, this demand would greatly impact company revenue, as well as the breadth of the company’s political and economic influence.

Since Amazon has so many woke, disgruntled employees that want to ditch business in red states, it’s a prime opportunity for an Amazon alternative to emerge.

Perhaps a delivery service that values the sanctity of life?

That’s the beauty of America, right?

Fox Business added:

A group of pro-abortion Amazon employees filed a public letter to the company Tuesday in which they demanded the online retailer cease any and all business in pro-life states, according to reports.

The letter, first leaked via Twitter account Libs of TikTok, was addressed to “Amazon leadership” and requested the retail giant aggressively rebuke the Supreme Court’s decision.

“We, the undersigned, come to you today to request immediate and decisive action against the threat to our basic human rights with the overturning of Roe v. Wade,” the letter began. “As part of Amazon’s wide-reaching efforts toward a more inclusive and diverse workforce, we believe that Amazon cannot let this recent decision go unanswered. We ask Amazon, the world’s best employer, to actively defend against this assault on our liberty.”

Most notably, the letter demanded Amazon cease conducting business in states that have or intend to pass laws limiting or outlawing abortion.

“Cease operations in states that enact laws that threaten the lives and liberty of abortion seekers, either by denying healthcare in life-threatening circumstances or by criminalizing abortion seekers and providers,” the letter proposed.
