Mother Who Rescued Her Children From Robb Elementary Says Uvalde Police are Harassing Her

What the hell is going on in Uvalde, Texas?

Uvalde police, who are still facing harsh criticism over their inactions during the school shooting that took place at Robb Elementary, are allegedly harassing the mother who bravely entered the school unarmed in order to save her two children.

Angeli Rose Gomez rescued her two sons from the school while police sat idly by.

Gomez now claims that Uvalde police are actively harassing her at her own home.

“the other night we were exercising and we had a cop parked at the corner like, flickering us with his headlights.” Gomez said.

The harassment has gone far enough that Gomez has now separated from her two sons so that they aren’t subjected to it.

She is protesting with other community members, asking to have police chief Pete Arredondo terminated.

Local 12 has more on Angeli Rose Gomez’s heroic actions that have now led to the alleged police harassment:

Immediately, Gomez jumped a fence and began banging on a door window where she saw her oldest son’s teacher. Gomez told her, “Like, you already have a gateway out, so might as well just come out, like, if I’m going to run out with him, y’all just come on, too.”

Within minutes, Gomez said she was able to get her oldest son and some of his classmates out — but her youngest was still inside. She ran around the school desperately searching for his classroom.

“At this moment, I’m jiggling the handle and I’m going pretty nuts like trying to get the door open and it’s not gonna open, so I stand back and the cops are already on me and they’re like, ‘Ma’am, calm down!'”

She told them to evacuate the school or she wouldn’t leave her spot, “Immediately, they start evacuating that classroom and my son runs out to me and he’s like, ‘Mom, mom!'”
