Multiple news outlets have reported that a man with a gun was just arrested outside of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home.

Just weeks after the Biden admin didn’t condemn several protests outside of Justice Kavanaugh’s home a man was arrested for reportedly attempting to kill Justice Kavanaugh.

The man reportedly took a taxi to Montgomery County, Maryland to kill Kavanaugh over his current position on abortion.

When police arrested him he told police he was going to “kill” Kavanaugh and officers were also able to find a knife, gun, and pepper spray on him.

The Independent had more on the story:

A man with at least one weapon was arrested near the Maryland home of US Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, according to The Washington Post, citing people familiar with the investigation.

A suspect with “at least one weapon and burglary tools” was detained on a nearby street early on Wednesday in Montgomery County, according to the report, which claims that the man was angry about a forthcoming decision on the 1973 ruling in Roe v Wade and abortion access in the US.

NBC had these details to add:

Law enforcement officials say an armed man was arrested overnight near the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Officials say the man was armed with a handgun, a knife and pepper spray. He was stopped near — but not at — the justice’s house. And when police detained him, he said he was there to kill Kavanaugh, these officials say.

The arrest was first reported by The Washington Post.

The court confirmed some of the details in a brief statement: “At approximately 1:50 a.m. today, a man was arrested near Justice Kavanaugh’s residence. The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh. He was transported to Montgomery County Police 2nd District.”

Officials say the man was from out of state and arrived by taxi.
