The teenager died while she was in the school’s courtyard after suddenly fainting and becoming unconscious, according to local reports.
EuroWeekly News reported:
Local police were called to the scene along with emergency medical crews after they received reports that a high school student was feeling unwell.
However, when paramedics arrived, the girl was already dead.
According to the school’s director, the student was “on her lunch break and suddenly fainted while she was in the courtyard, near some trees, and emergency services were contacted.”
Paramedics certified the death of the student as a cardiac arrest, as reported by sinembargo.mx.
It must be noted that other news outlets in the area, including one from reporter @LuisCardenasMx, reported that the high school student died of a heart attack.

A 17-year-old student from the Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Industrial y de Servicios (CBTIS) 29, located in the Ejidal Emiliano Zapata neighborhood, in the municipality of Ecatepec , died while she was in the school’s courtyard.
The Municipal Police Command Center received a call that alerted that a student was feeling bad at the high school, elements of the corporation, as well as paramedics from Civil Protection, came to the scene, but when the minor arrived, he had no vital signs.
The director of the educational center informed the members of Public Security that the student was in recess and suddenly fainted while she was in the courtyard, near the planters, for which they requested the support of the emergency services.
A Civil Protection paramedic, who checked the young woman, announced that she apparently died of a heart attack, but the autopsy will reveal the real causes of her death.
