AOC Wants to Sell Her Tesla Because Elon Musk Mocked Her

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the gift that keeps on giving.

After Elon Musk teased her on Twitter, AOC apparently took it personally.

Now she says that she wants to sell her Tesla over the teasing exchange.

It all started last month when AOC went on a Twitter rant about egotistical billionaires.

Musk jokingly responded to the tweet, saying “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.”

AOC then responded by saying that she was talking about Mark Zuckerberg, but then quickly deleted the tweet.

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, AOC could hardly hide her disdain for Musk.

She had this to say about her Model 3 Tesla, which she bought in 2020:

“At the time, it was the only EV that could get me from New York to Washington on like one, or one-and-a-half charges,” she told Bloomberg News.

“I would love to switch.”

When asked about Musk’s support for the GOP, she had this to say:

“He’s a billionaire. I could care less what he thinks.”

Sure, late night comedy is dead, but who needs it when we have the real world to make us laugh.

Our friends at the Daily Wire have the latest from AOC:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) now wants to sell her Tesla, following a Twitter dustup with tech billionaire Elon Musk last month.

The socialist darling bought a Model 3 Tesla back in 2020, which now sell for about $46,990. But after Musk teased her online, she’s singing a different tune.

“At the time, it was the only EV that could get me from New York to Washington on like one, or one-and-a-half charges,” AOC told Bloomberg News this week. “I would love to switch.”

“He’s a billionaire. I could care less what he thinks,” Ocasio-Cortez said of Musk’s apparent support of the GOP.

Fox News has more details:

In an interview with Bloomberg News on Wednesday, Ocasio-Cortez said that she made the car purchase because it was “the only EV [electric vehicle] that could get me from New York to Washington on like one, or one-and-a-half charges.” Now, she said, she would “love to switch.”

Her comments come after the progressive lawmaker complained in a Tweet about “some billionaire with an ego problem” who oversees a massive communication platform. Musk responded jokingly, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.”

Ocasio-Cortez claimed she was “talking about Zuckerberg” in a subsequent tweet, which she later deleted.

For his part, Musk just responded back to AOC.

The New York Post has his response:

Elon Musk once again trolled Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter — daring her to ask her own followers whether they have less trust in politicians or billionaires.

The Tesla CEO addressed the New York congresswoman directly on his Twitter account late on Thursday — just days after the progressive “Squad” member said she’s eager to sell her Tesla.

Musk on Thursday posted a survey in which he asks: “Who do you trust less? Real question.”

The two options given were politicians and billionaires. More than 2.3 million people voted in the poll, which 76% saying they had less trust in politicians.

Musk then tweeted: “@aoc I dare you to run the same poll with your followers.”
