President Trump has finally weighed in on Kathy Barnette.
In case you aren’t familiar with Barnette, she is a MAGA candidate in Pennsylvania’s Republican primary for the U.S. Senate.
As little as a few weeks ago, Barnette was polling in the single digits.
But after a strong debate performance, Barnette has skyrocketed towards the top of the polls, astonishing her competitors.
The race has gotten nationwide coverage.
Not only is Kathy Barnette a black Republican, but she is what people are describing as “OG MAGA.”
Because Barnette was one of the few people who publicly supported and promoted President Trump from the very beginning.
So does President Trump endorse Barnette?
Yes and no.
It turns out that President Trump appears to like Barnette and what she stands for…
But he doesn’t personally believe that she can win the general election against a Democrat.
That is why President Trump is standing by his endorsement of Dr. Oz.
Read President Trump’s official statement below:
What makes this race so interesting is that Kathy Barnette was a long-shot contender.
It was said that she couldn’t win.
Yet despite the odds, she is poised to win the primary in a BIG way.
Kathy Barnette has been outspent 358-to-1 on TV in Pennsylvania’s GOP primary for the Senate. She hasn’t run for statewide office before. She doesn’t have former President Donald Trump’s endorsement.
But the ultra-MAGA commentator is surging in the polls anyway in the final weeks of one of the most expensive and closely watched races in the country.
Barnette’s unlikely — and, to some, unbelievable — rise has turned heads in political circles across the state because it defies political logic. Just two years ago, she lost a House bid in the Philadelphia suburbs by a wide margin. This time around, her opponents Mehmet Oz and David McCormick have spent $12.4 million and $11.4 million on television commercials, respectively, according to the ad-tracking firm AdImpact. Other candidates and outside groups have bankrolled $25 million more in spots. Oz has also won a highly sought-after nod from Trump.
Barnette, on the other hand, has spent a paltry $137,000 on TV.
“Barnette’s apparent rise is surprising just because of the lack of notoriety or resources compared to some of the other candidates in that race,” said Brian Nutt, a Pennsylvania-based Republican strategist who is not working for a candidate in the contest.
Barnette has a purist’s zeal, a compelling life story, and the ability to tell it to Republican grassroots voters. And, according to Republican strategists and officials across the state, Barnette is likely benefiting from a smashmouth primary that features Oz and McCormick going nuclear on each other on TV. GOP voters have been inundated with attack ads slamming Oz as a “RINO” and McCormick as a stooge for China, leading some to look for a third option.
Steve Bannon, the former White House chief strategist to Trump, invited Barnette onto his “War Room: Pandemic” podcast Monday and marveled at her momentum: “Stunning polling coming out last night. … Oz and McCormick combined, I think, have spent $24 million, combined. $24 million! … And she’s basically in a dead heat.”
In an interview, Barnette said she has been successful because voters are looking for “authenticity” amid the TV ad wars.
“They’re spending $50 million on ads. That is their campaign,” she said of her opponents. “Unless there’s some high-falutin’ press conference or debates or events to go to, it’s overwhelmingly on television. And it’s these plastic, little run-of-the-mill political ads.”
Despite the headwinds, Barnette continues to gain momentum as the primaries draw nearer.
More and more social media users are expressing their support for Barnette.

Just got a call from Kathy Barnette. First time I've ever spoken to her. I asked for military records and the campaign is sending them to me. She said she doesn't have a thing to hide and is proud of her service to the United States.

The 11th-hour attacks on @Kathy4Truth by prominent voices in the conservative movement are disappointing and reek of desperation. The people of Pennslyvania won't be influenced by this smear campaign because they know the REAL Kathy Barnette. Stop the friendly fire.

So Fox is going to go after Kathy Barnette again tonight.
Pennsylvania's primaries are next Tuesday.
They are desperate. They REALLY want Dr. Oz to win.
Something doesn't smell right here. Why are they going to such lengths?
I don't think I've seen this before.

The Democrats have taken notice.
The internal fighting amongst Republicans is a wet dream for Democrats.
Moments after President Trump weighed in, the mainstream media picked up on it and is running headlines left and right against Barnette.
According to the New York Times:
A late surge from Kathy Barnette in Pennsylvania’s Republican Senate primary is officially on former President Trump’s radar.
Mr. Trump criticized Ms. Barnette, a conservative author and political commentator, on Thursday and said she was unvetted and unelectable. “Kathy Barnette will never be able to win the general election against the radical left Democrats,” Mr. Trump said in a statement.
Ms. Barnett’s momentum in the polls has jeopardized Mr. Trump’s second attempt to influence the primary race, which comes to a close on Tuesday. He endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz, a longtime television host, after his first choice for the seat, Sean Parnell, suspended his campaign in November amid a court battle over the custody of his children.
Ms. Barnette’s sudden rise comes as Dr. Oz has been locked in a contentious primary fight with David McCormick, a former hedge fund executive with deep ties to Mr. Trump’s political orbit. A Fox News Poll on Tuesday showed her at 19 percent, behind Mr. McCormick at 20 percent and Dr. Oz at 22 percent.
Her climb has surprised many watching the Pennsylvania race — including Mr. Trump, who never seriously considered supporting her before he announced his endorsement of Dr. Oz less than five weeks ago, according to two people familiar with the decision who insisted on anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss private conversations.
So what do you think?
Obviously, here at WeLoveTrump, we love President Trump!
But we also like what we’re seeing from Kathy Barnette.
Do you support her?
Or are you voting for Trump’s endorsement: Dr. Oz?
