WATCH: Crowd Delivers THUNDEROUS Applause for Trump at Kentucky Derby

While the mainstream media would have us believe that Donald Trump is losing his appeal, the facts seem to tell a different story.

One recent example came during the annual Kentucky Derby.

The 45th president was among the high-profile attendees at the iconic horse race and he received a uproarious welcome from others in the crowd.

Although MSNBC and CNN predictably ignored the story, plenty of local outlets and individuals at the scene shared exactly what transpired.

As the Courier Journal explained:

Former President Donald Trump was spotted at the 2022 Kentucky Derby roughly an hour before the day’s main race was set to begin.

Around 5:30 p.m., FBI agents and state troopers cleared an area near the entrance to the Finish Line Suites and Stakes Room, dropping a metal gate on one side and an opaque white curtain on the other.

The curtain lifted a little after 6 p.m., and a small crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the former president dispersed without seeing him.

Derbygoers in the Stakes Room confirmed Trump’s arrival, and a Courier Journal photographer spotted Trump on a balcony overlooking the track soon after.

The rousing response to seeing Trump at Churchill Downs was just the latest evidence that he remains a powerful figure in American politics.

Ahead of the midterm elections, it is clear that his endorsement still carries a lot of weight among GOP voters.

While he seemed to be having a great time in the stands, attending the Kentucky Derby was not the only reason Trump was in the area.

According to the New York Post:

Former President Donald Trump hosted a whopping $75,000-per-head fundraiser at the Kentucky Derby before he made a public appearance to see 80-to-1 longshot horse Rich Strike’s historic win on Saturday.

Trump attended the first leg of the Triple Crown Saturday to host a fundraiser for Trump-supporting Super PAC “MAGA, Again!” in the home state of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell — whose relationship with the ex-president has grown rocky.

McConnell refused to support Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

The 45th president was greeted with chants of “USA” as he appeared on a massive big-screen TV at Churchill Downs about 20 minutes before the 148th Kentucky Derby kicked off, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Here’s a clip of Trump greeting those around him during the recent event.
