Flop: Meghan McCain and Jill Biden Sell Less than 500 Books in First Week Combined

In the world of liberal politics and media, there is an interesting phenomenon that takes place. You are surrounded by people that tell you how amazing you are. They show up to your tea parties and galas, laugh at your jokes, and declare you are God’s gift to mankind.

As long as you stick to the talking points and play by their rules, there is no limit to the acceptance, hugs, and affirmation you receive. At some point during the banquet, someone will exclaim to their liberal friend, “Wow, you’re so brilliant, the world really needs your energy. You should write a book!”

And off they go into their writing closet in the Hamptons feverishly writing about their lives and crafting pages of life-changing advice. All of this with the belief that millions of Americans are waiting with bated breath for the book to drop so they can buy millions of copies.

The problem with this is of course there is a real world with real people that don’t live in a world that liberals have in their imagination.

This isn’t a fairytale. This looks like reality for two liberal darlings. Jill Biden and Meghan McCain. For some reason, they thought there was a huge market for memoirs about their lives. On top of that, they believed the advice found within the pages of their experience would potentially thrill readers. The Washington Examiner shared the news.

Two new books featuring Washington political royalty debuted as huge flops, suggesting there is limited interest in anything beyond a focus on presidential politics.

How big did these books flop? Let’s see.

The latest failure is Meghan McCain’s memoir, Bad Republican, released April 26. According to an NPD BookScan provided to Secrets, it sold just 244 copies in the first few days.

And then, there was the equally disappointing first-week sales of just 250 copies of the biography of Jill Biden, Jill: A Biography of the First Lady, by two Associated Press reporters.

Comically, Meghan’s circle of friends were thoroughly shocked at the poor sales numbers. After all, Meghan is a huge star and national treasure.

A book agent said the low sales were a surprise considering the celebrity status of the former View star and outspoken daughter of former Sen. John McCain.

It turns out that Americans and the world were just not that interested in these two people. The internet is undefeated and they quickly made their voices known.

Seems that entitlement is not attractive to potential book readers.

John McCain was a RINO through and through. Many of his stances were incorrect and some actions hurt the nation. Despite what you think about the man, it’s tragic to see him trotted out repeatedly by his daughter so she can further a career that would be nothing if her last name weren’t Mccain.

Here’s a compilation of some of the times she’s leveraged her name to prove a point:

You know it’s bad when even Trevor Noah is making fun of you.

The truth is that this is America, with a constitution and a love for freedom and independence. Even if you aren’t a conservative, Americans generally just want the freedom to live their lives and have the same opportunities as everyone else. Things we hate most in life are entitlement, arrogance, and being condescended to which both of these women have made a career out of doing.

It is clear that Americans have no interest in these two other than the impact they are having on the nation we love dearly and want to preserve.

It would be foolish to wish these sales numbers are a wake-up call to the delusional left. It won’t be. But it does give us another clear indicator that there are more people that love this country than are bent on damaging it.
