‘This Is a Disgrace’: Here’s Why Home Depot Co-Founder Says Biden Is ‘Worse Than Jimmy Carter’

As prices for almost all consumer goods and services trends upward, Joe Biden faces mounting criticism for his economic policies.

Many business executives and entrepreneurs are pointing the finger at the White House for fueling the worst period of inflation in more than 40 years.

For his part, Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone addressed such concerns during a recent Fox News Channel interview.

He used the opportunity to recite a list of reasons that he believes Biden is responsible for rising costs and is shaping up to be a worse president than Jimmy Carter.

According to the Washington Times:

Mr. Langone, who began his company in the Carter stagflation era, said the Biden administration is at fault for today’s inflation woes because it refused to see problems from its spending and energy policies, dismissing rising prices as transitory.

“This was not transitory. This was a real serious case of inflation. We lost a whole year on addressing the issue. Only because, frankly, we have leadership today in America that isn’t willing to admit when they’re wrong. They made a terrible blunder here, and now the price has got to be paid,” Mr. Langone said.

He also blasted Mr. Biden’s first-day closure of the Keystone XL pipeline and his blaming the energy companies for $120-per-barrel oil, gasoline that often tops $5 a gallon, and the resulting ripple effects on every product’s price.

Langone is not alone in denouncing the policies of the Biden administration.

Many prominent conservatives have taken to Twitter in recent weeks to express their outrage.

Of course, ordinary Americans are also increasingly fed up with the state of the nation’s economy.

As Fox News reported:

Americans in Wisconsin graded President Biden’s performance after inflation climbed at the fastest rate in 40 years.

“Can you go lower?” Tom, a Fond du Lac resident, said when asked to rate the president on a scale of A-F.

“I’d give him an F, in my opinion,” Tom continued. “I don’t think he’s running this country the way it should be run.”

“I give him an A,” one Wisconsin resident said.

Wisconsinites doled out the grades hours after the Department of Labor reported that consumer prices had risen 8.5% compared to a year ago. Inflation rates have continuously risen over the last few months, with a 1.2% increase from February to March.

Donna, of Eden, said inflation, along with the energy crisis, played major roles in how she rated Biden.

“I’ll give him an F,” she told Fox News.

Here’s a clip from Langone’s recent Fox News appearance.

Do you believe Biden is to blame for the current rate of inflation?
