Gov. DeSantis Says He Will Send Illegal Immigrants To Delaware

Gov. DeSantis will not allow the Sunshine State to be taken over by illegal immigrants.

During one of his recent press conferences, Republican Governor Ron DeSantis told members of the press that he will not allow the state of Florida to become a sanctuary state and if the Biden admin dumps any illegal immigrants into Florida then he will send them to Biden’s home state of Delaware.

DeSantis was quoted saying “If they’re going to come here, we’ll provide buses, I will send them to Delaware and do that.”

Governor DeSantis is right, Democrats are hypocrites for advocating for mass illegal immigration in their rhetoric but in action, they’re sending them to red states.

Fox News had these details to share about Gov. DeSantis’s comments:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Wednesday that he will send illegal immigrants who are “dumped” into the Sunshine State to sanctuary states like President Biden’s home state of Delaware, which he represented for more than 35 years in the U.S. Senate.

DeSantis’ remarks came after he signed the No Patient Left Alone Act into law on Wednesday in Naples, Florida, and began discussing the Biden administration’s termination of the Title 42 health policy, which gave the administration the ability to bar people from entering the country during a health crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

“What we’re doing in Florida is saying, ‘We’re not gonna let the recklessness of those policies impact our state,'” DeSantis told those in attendance. “If businesses or contractors are dumping people who are illegal into Florida from southern Texas, you know, we’re gonna go after their ability to do business in Florida.

“If Biden is dumping people, which he has dumped people, they fly them in at two in the morning,” DeSantis continued. “They haven’t done it lately, but they did it many months ago. We now have money where we can reroute them to sanctuary states like Delaware — and we’re gonna do that — to make sure we’re keeping people safe here.”

This is not the first time DeSantis has mentioned sending illegal immigrants in Florida to Delaware. Last November, DeSantis said dozens of migrant flights landed in Florida at the behest of the Biden administration, and he threatened at that time to send them to Delaware on buses.

The Epoch Times covered DeSantis’ comments too:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis vowed to send illegal immigrants from his state to Delaware, which is President Joe Biden’s home state.

“What we’re doing in Florida is saying, ‘We’re not gonna let the recklessness of those policies impact our state,’” DeSantis said at a signing event in Florida on Wednesday, referring to federal immigration policies. “If businesses or contractors are dumping people who are illegal into Florida from southern Texas, you know, we’re gonna go after their ability to do business in Florida.”

Alleging that federal officials fly in illegal immigrants from the U.S.–Mexico border to Florida at “two in the morning,” DeSantis said that Florida now has “money where we can reroute them to sanctuary states like Delaware—and we’re gonna do that—to make sure we’re keeping people safe here.”

Biden currently has a home in Delaware, and he was a Senator from the state for decades.

DeSantis made similar comments last year, but he appeared to renew his call after Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he would send buses with illegal aliens to Washington D.C.

“To help local officials–because communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden Administration–Texas is providing charter buses for these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off to Washington, D.C.,” Abbott said in public remarks on Wednesday.
