This country needs more immigration, but of the legal type.
Title 42 was originally a pandemic era restriction meant to curb the spread of Covid-19 by unscreened, unvetted, undocumented immigrants, but it reportedly helped curb the illegal immigration problem as a whole.
Sources now say that the Biden administration has made the decision to rescind Title 42, and in response, several states are now suing the Biden administration to keep the policy in place.
Whether or not these lawsuits will be successful remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the immigration system in America is completely broken.
People who wish to immigrate here legally must go through the most arduous process, full of bureaucratic red tape and document overkill, but anyone can just cross our Southern or Northern borders and stay here at this point.
Perhaps the pandemic era laws are worth keeping, perhaps they aren’t, but we desperately need to do something to overhaul what is so clearly a broken system.
Here’s what we currently know about the ongoing lawsuits:
Our office just filed another lawsuit against the Biden Administration – this time over the recent decision to rescind Title 42 during the historic border crisis at our southern border. https://t.co/2KE9Y2PusH

Biden policy to ignore immigration law is an impeachable offence for White House occupant, while changing the face of America, in radical Left wing agenda. Biden to Lift Title 42 Border Policy Allowing Immediate Deportation #IllegalImmigration #OpenBorders https://t.co/TdXXfeWGO1

According to The Epoch Times:
“Defendants’ unlawful termination of the Title 42 policy will induce a significant increase of illegal immigration into the United States, with many migrants asserting non-meritorious asylum claims,” the attorneys general of Arizona, Louisiana, and Missouri, who brought the suit, said in the filing.
They cited reports quoting Biden administration officials who project that up to 18,000 illegal aliens could be apprehended at the border every day if the order is lifted.
The issue is not Title 42 coming to an end; it’s immigration law as a whole.
As a US citizen, it is taking me months (and still counting) and thousands of dollars to get my wife’s US residence.
Meanwhile, migrants from all over enter illegally claiming asylum. #Laws

This is not a Biden decision. This is a CDC decision. Title 42 is a health control law. Not an immigration law. @GOP continues to lie and mislead as usual. 🙄 https://t.co/uY9lMXD3i6

In a related report, Breitbart explains:
The Supreme Court will review the legality of Biden’s catch-and-release policy on April 26 in the Biden v. Texas lawsuit.
The review will take place one month before Biden and Mayorkas lift the Title 42 barrier on May 23 and open the borders to an unlimited inflow of asylum-claiming migrants.
