If you haven’t watched Mel Gibson’s latest interview on Fox News you really should.

Actor and movie producer Mel Gibson who is best known for his hit movies like Braveheart and the Passion of the Christ didn’t seem like his normal self during his most recent interview with Fox News anchor Jesse Watters.

All throughout his interview with Watters, Gibson behaved abnormally and was extremely fidgety.

Towards the end of the interview, Watters asked Gibson “I was wondering if you had been the one that jumped up out of his seat and slapped Chris Rock, if you would’ve been treated the same way, Mel.”.

Gibson responded by chuckling but then a women’s voice from the background immediately stopped the interview.

Take a look:

The Washington Examiner had more on the story:

An interview with Mel Gibson abruptly ended after Fox News host Jesse Watters asked the Hollywood star to respond to the scandal surrounding Will Smith slapping comedian Chris Rock at the Academy Awards.

Nearly five minutes into the exchange, which aired shortly after Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Friday, Watters popped the question of what Gibson thinks would have happened to him if he were the one who slapped Rock.

“I was wondering if, you know, you had been the one that jumped up out of his seat and slapped Chris Rock, if you would have been treated the same way, Mel?” Watters asked.

Smith slapped Rock onstage after the comedian, who was hosting the awards show, made a joke mocking the bald appearance of his wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, who has alopecia. Smith has since apologized.

A grimacing Gibson did not respond to the question, instead lifting a hand and shaking his head, appearing to signal that he would not answer. That’s when a female voice interrupted to tell Watters their time was up.

Gibson was promoting the movie Father Stu, so it could just be his publicist in the background making sure Gibson doesn’t become cancel culture’s next victim by saying something that would cause the movie to get canceled.

Unlike other Hollywood actors, Gibson has publicly shown his support for President Trump in several ways.

One of the most notable times was when he saluted President Trump when he was at a UFC match.
