The king of gaffes has spoken again…

During a press conference Biden, as usual, was reading off the teleprompter but when he decided to speak off the cuff he made no sense whatsoever.

During the Commissioning Commemoration Ceremony of the USS Delaware yesterday, Biden clearly called Michelle Obama the Vice President.

Watch the moment he made the blunder here:

India Today had more on the story:

US President has again found himself at the receiving end of criticism after a major faux pas during a speech on April 2. During the Commissioning Commemoration Ceremony of the USS Delaware, Biden referred to Michelle Obama as the ‘Vice President’ by an unfortunate mistake.

During the address, what Biden wanted to convey was a note of gratitude to his wife and the First Lady of the US, Jill Biden, for the work she had been doing. Instead of saying, “I’m deeply proud of the work she is doing as First Lady with the Joining Forces initiative she started with Michelle Obama when I was Vice President and now carries on”, Biden referred to Michelle Obama as the Vice President.

WION covered the story too:

Another gaffe! Joe Biden mistakenly referred to the former First Lady Michelle Obama as the former Vice President of the country. The mistake was corrected by the White House, however, the clip went viral on social media, leaving the netizens abuzz.

Biden was speaking while commissioning the commemoration Ceremony of the USS Delaware on Saturday (April 2), where he was praising his wife, the current First Lady, Jill Biden.

In the video, Biden can be heard as saying, “I’m deeply proud of the work she [Jill] is doing as First Lady with Joining Forces initiative she started with Michelle Obama when she was Vice President and now carries on.”

In times past Biden has called Kamala Harris the President, so it’s no surprise he’s calling Michelle Obama the Vice President.
