At the Oscars, Chris Rock cracked a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith being in “G.I. Jane” due to her hair loss condition.
The actress shaved her head to deal with alopecia.
Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith being in "G.I. Jane" because of her bald head. She's spoken openly about having a hair loss condition. Will Smith ran on stage, slapped Rock, then screamed twice at the top of his lungs "KEEP MY WIFE'S NAME OUT OF YOUR F-NG MOUTH."

After Rock made the joke, Smith rushed the stage and smacked him in the face.

Rock attempted to shake it off while Smith shouted from his seat to “keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth.”
Smith’s outburst from the audience wasn’t censored in Australia.

“Wow dude, it was a G.I. Jane joke,” Rock responded, adding “that was the greatest night in the history of television.”
It wasn’t clear if Smith was removed from the audience for his response to Rock’s joke.
Twitter users debated if this was a staged incident:
People speculating the Will Smith vs Chris Rock thing was staged. No, definitely not. A stunt like that is something they might have staged at the VMAs in the 90s. Not the woke Oscars in 2022. Will Smith is just a deranged cuckold who finally snapped. That’s all. Hilarious though

🚨UNCENSORED: Will Smith PUNCHES Chris Rock in the face.
I don’t think it’s staged.
In Australia, they didn’t bleep any of it out.
This is insane.
And no one kicked Will Smith out of the #Oscars after the assault.

I'd be shocked if it turned out that slap was staged.
Why would Will Smith risk taking such a huge hit to his reputation by doing such a thing?
Also Chris Rock was clearly very startled afterward he was having a hard time presenting the rest of his monologue.
Wild bro #Oscars

What do you think?
A staged event to save the Oscars’ plummeting viewer ratings.
Or, an angry husband defending his wife…
