The world is slowly reopening to travelers without the annoyance of idiotic COVID-19 measures.
As of Monday, the Emerald Isle joins the small list of countries where tourists don’t have to worry about a single health protocol to enter.

I’ve just signed the regulations removing the Covid requirements for incoming international passengers (Passenger Locator Form, proof of vaccine status / test). These were the last remaining Covid regs. Effective from midnight tonight. Another step forward in our Covid efforts. pic.twitter.com/dACL1LULem

The Irish Post reported:
THE REQUIREMENT for international travellers to supply Covid-19 documentation on arrival into Ireland is to end from midnight tonight, Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said.
Up to now, passengers arriving in Ireland were obliged to fill out a Passenger Locator Form, outlining where they were coming from and where they would be staying during their time in Ireland for track and tracing purposes.
They also needed to show proof of immunity, vaccination, or a negative Covid test taken within 2-3 days of arrival into the country.
Travel Off Path offered this breakdown:
Ireland was one of the first nations to discontinue most internal covid-related rules in January 2022, which now harmonize with their new entry requirement removal.
From today, March 7, 2022, there will be zero travel restrictions for any traveler entering Ireland.
- No PCR or antigen tests to enter
- No quarantines
- No proof of vaccination
- No health forms
- No vaccine passports
Entering Ireland after March 7th will feel like it did in pre-pandemic times, with no extra steps to take.

The Current Internal COVID-19 Restrictions In Ireland
Despite strict COVID-19 restrictions throughout the pandemic, Ireland now has almost non-existent internal COVID-19 restrictions. Most internal rules, like vaccine passports, curfews, and capacity limits, ended on January 22, 2022.
The government scrapped the mask mandate on February 28. However, the government still advises people to wear masks in all public transport and healthcare settings.
The travel website has compiled a running list of countries that have scrapped all COVID-19 entry restrictions.
Here’s the updated list:
Ireland
Jordan
Bahrain
El Salvador
Slovenia
