Australian cricket legend Shane Warne has passed away due to an alleged heart attack at only 52 years old.
While American sports fans may be less familiar with Warne, he was beloved throughout Europe for his contributions to the sport, as well as his reputation for entertaining fans.
Warne’s management released a brief statement on is passing, saying that he died of a suspected heart attack.
Warne was in Koh Samui, Thailand at the time, where he was found unresponsive in his villa.

“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” reads the statement.
Friends and fans shared their sadness for Warne’s passing on social media.

Australia cricket legend and the greatest leg-spinner of all-time, Shane Warne, has died, aged 52.
Warne’s management released a brief statement in the early hours of Saturday (AEDT) saying that he passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand, of a suspected heart attack.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement reads.
