Joe Biden delivered his first State of the Union address — and it went about as poorly as his critics might have expected.
The gaffe-prone Democrat stumbled through his talking points, addressing issues like the crisis in Ukraine and his stalled far-left domestic spending package.
As with almost any of his public statements, there was plenty for social media users to ridicule.
Among the most glaring examples was his reference to “Iranian” people when he was clearly talking about citizens of Ukraine.

Fox News explained:
President Biden misspoke Tuesday night during his State of the Union speech, referring to Ukrainians as Iranians while discussing the ongoing turmoil in Europe as Russia continues its invasion into Ukraine.
“Putin may circle Kyiv with tanks, but he’ll never gain the hearts and souls of the Iranian people,” Biden said.
Following Biden’s remarks, political opposition, journalists and political commentators took to social media to point out the error in Biden’s message.
Pundits, politicians, and reporters from across the ideological spectrum tweeted their responses to the flubbed line.
Biden: "Putin will never gain the hearts and minds of the Iranian people!"
That's a relief.

Of course, even the lines that he seemed to deliver as intended weren’t enough to convince the media that he is the competent leader they once claimed he would be.
As our friends over at the Gateway Pundit reported:
The reviews from Joe Biden’s State of the Union message last night are not good. Even writers at USA Today claim his speech won’t help his “abysmal poll numbers.”
Joe Biden didn’t knock it out of the park like he needed to last night. Reviews from the left and the right indicate it was a forgettable speech and not what he dearly needed to rejuvenate his Administration after its horrible first year.
Even MSNBC personality Andrea Mitchell took issue with the way Biden closed his lengthy speech.
His parting words — “Go get ’em” — left Mitchell and others at a loss. The following video clip reveals how she responded to the “strange moment at the end” of his speech.
