I have my opinions about the Russian Ukrainian conflict…
That is neither here nor there though, I am not here to discuss potential motivations, who is right, or who is wrong, or to condemn Russian aggression in the region.
What I am here to do is to point out the subtext here: the elites hate financial innovation and will seek any way and any pretense to crush it.
According to the latest reports, Hillary Clinton is ‘disappointed’ that centralized cryptocurrency exchanges have declined to stop serving Russian clients purely for the accident of their birth in a now warring nation.
It should be noted that the average Russian has absolutely nothing to do with their government much the same way the average American has absolutely nothing to do with the corrupt and illegitimate American regime.
Clinton and Gary Gensler, her former C.F.O. during the Russiagate scandal, and the current head of the S.E.C. will do anything so that the average person will not be financially free and unmolested by the state.
According to a previous report from ProCoin News:
After leaving as Chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, it appears Gensler found his way to a cozy position as CFO of the Hillary Clinton 2016 Campaign…and the money was flowing free and fast according to many reports.
Clinton, who has gone on record in the past claiming that cryptocurrencies can “destabilize entire nations” is showing just how opposed she is to the interests of the average human being:
In late 2021, Hillary called for crypto regulation
to stop manipulation by Russia & China. https://t.co/u27kPRbZ5w

Crypto Potato relayed her comments:
“I was disappointed to see that some of the so-called crypto exchanges, not all of them, but some of them are refusing to end transactions with Russia for some philosophy of libertarianism or whatever.”
In her view, everybody should do “as much as possible” to isolate the Russian economic activity. “That pressure will absolutely impact Putin.
.@hillaryclinton says ~'let's keep ratcheting up the pressure on Russia.' She is disappointed in some #crypto exchanges & says governments should threaten/compel (😲) them to take action against Russia.#Bitcoin pic.twitter.com/IE7Dzkt1AP

Let's just take a moment to zoom out and appreciate how far crypto has come. Since 2009 we've gone from not existing to being condemned by Hillary Clinton for allowing Russia to avoid international sanctions. Just imagine what the next 13 years will bring.https://t.co/yERhj9QGlk

Bein Crypto adds:
Former Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has slammed the Treasury Department of the Biden Administration for not locking down the cryptocurrency market that may give the Russians an escape from mounting financial pressure.
