Michael Avenatti Found Guilty of Swindling Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars from Stormy Daniels

The mainstream media has always been so blinded with their hatred of President Donald Trump, that they propped literally anyone else up in order to tear him down.

The guy they ended up ultimately choosing has proven to be an utter failure, but to be fair to the democrats and the media, it could have been much worse.

Throughout much of Donald Trump’s presidency, Michael Avenatti was a mainstay on television, promising his liberal worshippers that he would take down the charismatic president.

Avenatti was a guest on all the big liberal networks.

He was even fawned over by the women over at the View.

The man that Tucker Carlson labeled the “creepy porn lawyer,” wouldn’t maintain his place in the spotlight for long however, at least not for the right reasons.

Avenatti was eventually exposed for the fraud that most of us knew he was.

Now, the left’s former favorite lawyer was just found guilty of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the woman he claimed to represent in her case against President Trump, Stormy Daniels.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Fox Business has details on the fall of Michael Avenatti:

Michael Avenatti has been found guilty of charges of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft for bilking a former client, adult film star Stormy Daniels, out of nearly $300,000 in book proceeds.

The jury spent about 15 and a half hours deliberating before returning the verdict on Friday afternoon. The wire fraud charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, while the aggravated identity theft charge carries a mandatory term of imprisonment of two years.

Avenatti – who stared straight ahead as his fate was read – was subsequently ordered to surrender to federal court officials in California no later than 5 p.m. on Monday. His sentencing date was scheduled for May 24.

“I’m very disappointed,” he said briefly after the verdict was read. “I look forward to a full adjudication of all the issues. Thank you.”

Clark Brewster, who represents Daniels, told Fox News his client was “relieved this nightmare is over.”

In case you have forgotten the love affair that the mainstream media had with the creepy porn lawyer, here’s a reminder:

Tucker Carlson of Fox News was one of the first and most prominent individuals to see through Avenatti’s BS:

The Associated Press with more on Avenatti’s conviction:

Michael Avenatti was convicted Friday of cheating porn actor Stormy Daniels out of nearly $300,000 she was supposed to get for writing a book about an alleged tryst with former President Donald Trump.

Avenatti, who acted as his own lawyer, stared straight ahead as the guilty verdicts on wire fraud and aggravated identity theft were returned.

Just a few hours earlier, a mistrial had appeared possible when the jury foreperson complained that a juror was acting on “emotions” rather than evidence.

It was another defeat for the California lawyer, who has faced legal problems after briefly rising to fame as one of Trump’s leading antagonists on cable news.

“I’m very disappointed in the jury’s verdict,” Avenatti told reporters outside the federal courtroom in New York. “I’m looking forward to a full adjudication of all the issues on appeal.”

Judge Jesse M. Furman ordered Avenatti to surrender Monday to U.S. marshals in California. Avenatti has delayed serving a 2 1/2-year prison sentence for his 2020 conviction in an extortion case while waiting for the book trial and the retrial of a fraud case in a California federal court.
