Hollywood likes to pretend that it stands for strong independent women.
Following the cancellation of former Mandalorian star Gina Carano, that proved to be false.
Well, now another strong female lead has decided to go against the grain of her peers.
Evangeline Lilly, who stars in the Marvel superhero film Antman & the Wasp, recently spoke out against vaccine mandates.
Lilly, who recently attended an anti-vax protest in Washington DC, had this to say:
“I believe nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat of violent attack, arrest or detention without trial, loss of employment, homelessness, starvation, loss of education, alienation from loved ones, excommunication from society …under any threat whatsoever.”
She also called the mandates unsafe and unhealthy, before adding:
“I understand the world is in fear, but I don’t believe that answering fear with force will fix our problems.”
Lilly, who is Canadian, also spoke up in support of the Canadian truckers protesting mandates in her home country.
Lilly made a brave choice to speak up here.
What happens next will be interesting.

Marvel actress Evangeline Lilly issued an Instagram post Thursday emphasizing her stand against COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
Lilly, who voiced her support for freedom at the start of the pandemic, said she attended a rally in Washington, D.C. over the weekend “to support bodily sovereignty.”
The native Canadian wrote in the post that she stands with Canadian truckers protesting vaccine mandates and “believes nobody should ever be forced to inject their body.”

Our friends at Newsmax shared Lilly’s Instagram post against mandated vaccines:
“I believe nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat of violent attack, arrest or detention without trial, loss of employment, homelessness, starvation, loss of education, alienation from loved ones, excommunication from society … under any threat whatsoever,” Lilly wrote in a post published on her Instagram page.
