New Trial For Ghislaine Maxwell?

After being found guilty on nearly all charges, Ghislaine Maxwell is seeking a new trial.

As we have previously reported, Maxwell’s defense has 4 grounds upon which to stake their appeal for a new trial, but nothing is guaranteed or even probable at this point.

Those hopeful that she would give up the names of some of the associates of Epstein are still waiting, and news of a motion to file for a new trial may dash those hopes if it ever comes to fruition.

Could it be that the original guilty verdict was simply meant to pacify the public, and that a new trial will be used to exonerate her?

Was it the plan all along to try her, find her guilty, and then retry her again only to release her on technical grounds?

Only time will tell, but we will be keeping a close eye on any developments in the Maxwell case for the foreseeable future.

Here are the latest developments:

The Epoch Times confirmed:

The prosecution informed Nathan on Jan. 10 that if there’s no new trial it will drop its two outstanding perjury charges against Maxwell.

On Jan. 14 Nathan scheduled Maxwell’s sentencing for June 28.

The Rolling Stone explains:

Maxwell’s defense initially requested a new trial and indicated they would file a motion to that end earlier in January, after a juror revealed to a reporter that he may have omitted pertinent information during the selection process.

On Wednesday, they filed the motion under seal and asked that all submissions be sealed until U.S. District Judge Alison Nathan makes her ruling.
