Juventus reported:

Juventus Football Club announces that the U23 player Marco Da Graca will undergo an ablation operation in the next few days following the finding of a cardiac arrhythmia. The estimated times for the resumption of competitive activity are 30 days.

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed on January 11th during a press conference that all players on the squad had been vaccinated except for goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.

“Tomorrow evening Mattia Perin will play in goal against Inter because Wojciech Szczesny does not have the green pass,” these are the unexpected words of Massimiliano Allegri during the press conference for the presentation of the Italian Super Cup final. “All the players are vaccinated, but Tek is the last one to be vaccinated and therefore the path is that until the day after tomorrow he does not have the green pass and therefore the protocol is that he must arrive at the stadium at the last moment. ‘last moment comes on the bench,” this is the laconic comment of the Juventus coach who will have to do without his goalkeeper for having undertaken the vaccination cycle late.

On December 28th, Juventus released a statement saying Da Graca tested positive for COVID-19:

Juventus Football Club communicates that Juventus U23 players Enzo Barrenechea, Gabriele Boloca, Marco Da Graca and Marco Raina have all tested positive for Covid-19.

The affected players are already following the expected regulations. Juventus U23, who will resume activity on 30th December, will apply the protocols in force as always, in agreement with the relevant health authorities.

At the same time, Juventus also announces that, during the screening procedure for the resumption of competitive activity, two U19 players, in addition to that of a member of the technical staff also tested positive for Covid-19 and all of them were placed in isolation, in compliance with the health protocol in force.

The news of De Graca comes on the heels of Bayern Munich winger Alphonso Davies getting diagnosed with myocarditis.
