WATCH: Is Viagra Effective In Treating Covid-19?

Sounds a little crazy, right?

According to reports, a nurse is claiming that Viagra saved her life and helped to treat her of the Covid-19 virus.

Whether these claims are true or not remains to be seen, but mainstream media ‘fact checkers’ have already taken to the net in an attempt to shut down the claim…

Something which they did with Ivermectin…

I am not saying that Viagra is an effective treatment for Covid-19, but what I am saying is that these claims warrant further investigation—not just ridicule.

After all, that is the purpose of science, is it not? To gather data, form hypotheses, test the assumptions, and finally to arrive at conclusions, right?

Take a look through these reports and make up your own mind as to what is going on with this claim:

The Jerusalem Post had more on the surprising story:

A hospital nurse who fought for her life after contracting coronavirus and being sedated for 28 days survived after her colleagues used none other than Viagra to treat her.

Almeida, 37, who had treated coronavirus patients since the start of the pandemic, tested positive in October. She lost her sense of taste and smell, then coughed up blood four days after contracting the virus.

The next day, her oxygen levels plummeted and she went to the hospital, yet she didn’t receive any treatment and was discharged with a prescription for a standard medication.

Just two hours from the moment she was home, Almeida couldn’t breathe and was rushed to a hospital in Lincoln, UK where she was sent straight to the resuscitation room.

People took to Twitter to ridicule the idea that Viagra could be used to treat Covid, but perhaps their ridicule is in poor taste.

We know that alternative treatments to Covid-19 are suppressed for political reasons, and we also know that there are a plethora of medications which can be used for purposes other than the intended use.

Many synthetic and chemical agents have this feature of being multi-purpose, or end up being repurposed for other uses…

This makes the idea of a drug meant to treat erectile disfunction potentially being an effective treatment for Covid-19 not really as far-fetched as people would have you believe:

The Associated Press pressed the narrative of the ‘experts’:

But Dr. Daniel Culver, a pulmonologist and director of the Interstitial Lung Disease Program at Cleveland Clinic, said there has been no strong evidence the drug has been successful in these cases.

“It’s an old idea that’s been around for at least 30 years and despite numerous studies, there has never been a survival benefit demonstrated from using any of these drugs for patients in the hospital with respiratory failure,” Culver said.
