Chicago has some of the most severe gun laws in the country….yet some of the highest homicide rates in the country…
California has the most draconian tax laws in the country, but despite this some of its most major cities have gone bankrupt several times now, and the state regularly runs out of water—forcing it to borrow from its neighbors.
New York City has some of the most totalitarian Covid-19 regulations in the country, yet is experiencing record surges while at the same time losing scores of residents as a part of the blue state exodus.
Notice a pattern here?
Government regulations don’t work. They never have and they never will.
The government can no more keep people safe from a virus than they can keep their own coffers full through excessive taxation.
These people can’t keep drugs out of their own maximum security prisons, how are they going to fight a pathogen in an open society?
They can’t even balance a budget, and yet some in this country seem to think that they can handle matters of health?
Mask mandates and vaccine passports have utterly failed in New York City as cases continue to surge to record highs. The time has long since passed to allow natural immunity to take hold—people need to contract Covid-19.
This is the way nature has intended for things to work. It is how we have braved diseases and virus’ in the past—it is high time we go back to the old ways.
Here’s the evidence of New York City’s spectacular failure:

According to CNBC, tech giant Apple has had to close stores to walk in customers due to the surges in NYC:
The response follows a spike in Covid-19 cases due to the rapidly spreading omicron variant. It’s not known how long the closures will last.
The move, which affects 11 locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Staten Island, doesn’t amount to a complete shuttering of stores like the company has done in the past to slow the spread of the virus.
Daily calls to 911 for fevers and coughs have more than doubled since the start of December, according to data shared by the New York City Fire Department. Amid the spike in calls, 30% of the city's 4,400 EMS staff were out sick Wednesday. https://t.co/FvGpfdD3fr

ABC 7 reports that pediatric hospitalizations are up significantly in NYC. They also make the claim that none of the hospitalized children had been vaccinated—a claim I highly doubt is true.
Pediatric hospitalizations are up 395% in New York City since the week ending December 11, jumping from 22 to 109 the week ending December 23. Statewide pediatric hospitalizations jumped from 70 to 184.
