This is insane.

A woman on an airplane flying to Atlanta went crazy after an elderly man took his mask off to eat and drink.

What started as a verbal confrontation ended violently in the now viral video.

In the video, the woman hit an elderly man, spit on him, and then scratched his face.

The COVID hysteria continues to spiral out of control.

These types videos are unfortunately becoming more and more common.

The woman has escorted to the back of the plane and later arrested by Atlanta police.

Here's details on the disturbing incident from the Washington Examiner:

The video of the incident shows a woman standing over an older man's flight seat, telling him to "put your f***ing mask on."

She then tells the man to "stand your a** up," to which the man replies, "Sit down, Karen."

A third passenger approaches the woman, who is not wearing a mask herself, and asks her to "mask up."

The woman then slaps the unmasked man in the face, as flight attendants and other passengers try to deescalate the situation.

Another passenger recorded the incident:

The Daily Wire has more details on the violent confrontation:

After several more moments of an intense back-and-forth between the man and the woman, the flight crew got involved and tried to break up the situation before she struck the man in the face with her hand.

“No you’re going to jail,” the man yelled. “That’s assault. You’re going to jail. As soon as we get to Atlanta, you’re going to jail.”

“Karen!” the man yelled.

The woman then appeared to spit in the man’s face.

“Now you spit on me, now you’re double going to jail,” the man fired back.

Newsmax has more on the arrest:

Flight crew members pulled Cornwall away from the other passenger and attempted to move her to the back of the plane.

Fox 5 Atlanta reports that Cornwall was detained by the Atlanta Police Department at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after the flight landed on Thursday. Officers spoke with witnesses on the flight and Cornwall was arrested by FBI agents later that day.
