See you later Fredo!
CNN has officially fired host of Cuomo Primetime Chris Cuomo for allegedly attempting to help cover up his brother former Democratic Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo’s sexual harassments allegations.
Cuomo’s termination comes just a few days after the network decided to suspended Cuomo after the New York Attorney General revealed that Chris Cuomo reportedly text messaged his brother that he would be able to contact his “sources” to help his brother’s sexual harassment charges to just go away.
Chris Cuomo previously had his brother former Gov. Andrew Cuomo on his show dozens of times during the pandemic but when the nursing home scandal was brought out into the light and sexual harassment allegations came Andrew Cuomo’s way Chris didn’t cover the stories at all.

CNN broke the story:
CNN said Saturday that anchor Chris Cuomo has been “terminated” by the network, “effective immediately.”
The announcement came after an outside law firm was retained to review information about exactly how Cuomo aided his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, when the then-governor was accused of sexual harassment.
CNN suspended Cuomo “indefinitely” on Tuesday. The law firm retained by the network submitted its findings on Friday, according to a source with knowledge of the matter, and CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker fired Cuomo on Saturday.
The producers and other staffers who work on “Cuomo Prime Time” will remain in place. Michael Smerconish, Cuomo’s regular substitute, will host the 9 p.m. Eastern hour next week.
CNN said in a statement: “Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense. We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately.”
“While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light,” CNN’s statement added. “Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate.”
So whatever Chris Cuomo did, it was worse than peddling Russia collusion lies like @jaketapper does, and worse than @JeffreyToobin’s at-work self-pleasuring. Because they’ve both kept their CNN jobs.

By the looks of this interview it looks like CNN’s Brian Stelter is gunning for Cuomo’s position.
NPR covered the story too:
CNN has fired Chris Cuomo after new revelations detailed the journalist’s role in advising his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, in the face of sexual harassment allegations.
“Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense,” read a statement from the cable news network, which announced the news on Saturday. “We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately. While in the process of review, additional information as come to light. Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate.”
The Cuomo Prime Time host had already been suspended indefinitely as of Tuesday, a day after the New York attorney general’s office released a trove of new documents that offered new details on how Cuomo leveraged his industry contacts to dig up information on his brother’s accusers.
“This is not how I want my time at CNN to end. But I have already told you why and how I helped my brother,” Cuomo said in a statement after the news broke.
