Virginia governor candidate Glenn Youngkin is taking a hard stance against the teachings of critical race theory in schools.
While speaking with Fox News host Mark Levin, Youngkin said that if elected governor, he would ban CRT on day one.
Youngkin cited the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his decision:
“We’re called to judge one another based on the content of our character and not the color of our skin.”
Youngkin continued by saying that there is “no place for critical race theory in our school system,” and vowed to ban it on his first day as Virginia governor:
“On day one, I’m going to ban it.”
He then explained how CRT teaches young children to view everything through the lens of race, and divide them into distinct groups.
Fox News has more on Youngkin's bold promise to the people of Virginia:
Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin vowed Sunday on "Life, Liberty & Levin" to "ban" critical race theory on his first day as governor.
"[I]n the immortal words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we're called to judge one another based on the content of our character and not the color of our skin," Youngkin said. "And that's why there's no place for critical race theory in our school system, and why, on day one, I'm going to ban it."
He explained that CRT "teaches children to see everything through a lens of race and then to divide them into buckets and and have children [who] are called privileged and others [who] are victims."
Youngkin has echoed his stance against CRT many times when speaking to voters
Democrats are terrified of Youngkin winning in Virginia, as made clear by MSNBC host Joy Reid's most recent rant of lies:
The big democrat talking point is that critical race theory already doesn't exist.
Ted Cruz and others provided evidence to the contrary:
For something that apparently doesn't even exist, liberals sure are afraid when anyone shows opposition to it.
